A Blazing Warning
Part 3
As Solara continued to envelop Mercury in her soothing light, she carefully examined his surface, searching for the source of his pain. Her keen eyes scanned the scorched terrain, and her gaze landed on a small, darkened area on Mercury's surface, partially hidden in the shade. She pointed it out to Venus, who gasped in concern. "Look, Venus," Solara said, her voice laced with a hint of worry. "There's a small burn on Mercury's surface, just there, in the shade." Venus followed Solara's gaze and winced at the sight. But what caught Solara's attention next made her eyes widen in surprise. A small, spherical flame had appeared just above the burn, hovering in mid-air. "Mercury, it seems a collision between two small celestial bodies has just occurred beneath your surface," Solara explained, trying to keep her tone calm. "The burn may take some time to heal." Mercury's cries grew louder, his body trembling in agony. The burn was clearly causing him immense pain, and Solara's comforting light seemed to be only marginally effective. Venus stayed by Mercury's side, offering words of comfort and reassurance. "You're not alone, Mercury. We're here for you," she said, her voice soft and soothing. As the situation continued to unfold, Earth, accompanied by her faithful moon Luna, and Mars arrived on the scene, drawn by the commotion. They hovered nearby, concern etched on their faces. "Mercury, how are you?" Earth asked gently. "Do you need any help?" Mercury sniffled, trying to compose himself. "I...I'm okay," he stammered, his voice shaking. "I just need some rest, I think." Venus nodded in agreement. "We'll stay with you," she said. "You don't have to go through this alone." Mars, ever the pragmatist, spoke up. "If there's anything we can do to help, please let us know. We're here to support you." Mercury smiled weakly, grateful for the support. "Thank you, friends. I just need some time to recover." Solara nodded, her expression grave. "I'll keep an eye on you, Mercury. Don't worry, I'll be here to help you through this." As the planets and their moons offered what comfort they could, Mercury closed his eyes, letting the soothing presence of his friends wash over him. The small flame above his surface continued to flicker, a reminder of the unexpected danger that lurked beneath his surface, waiting to unleash its full fury.
