"Training Begins"

Part 2

The alarm blared to life, jolting me out of bed. I groggily reached over to turn it off and sat up, rubbing my eyes. It was 5:00 AM, and I knew that today was the day we would be starting our training at Dream Academy. Manon and I had been preparing for this moment for weeks, but I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. As I got dressed, I could hear the sound of girls chatting and laughing in the hallway. I peeked out of my room to see that some of the other trainees were already up and getting ready. Chanty was sipping on a cup of coffee, while Sophia was busy doing some vocal warm-ups. I smiled and waved at them, feeling a sense of camaraderie that I hadn't expected. Manon and I headed down to the cafeteria to grab some breakfast before our first training session. The food was amazing, and we loaded up on pancakes, fruit, and yogurt. As we ate, we chatted with some of the other girls, getting to know them better. Yuna was quiet and reserved, but she smiled when we talked about our favorite foods. Leah was bubbly and outgoing, regaling us with stories of her rap battles back in New York. After breakfast, we headed to the main auditorium for our first training session. The scout was waiting for us, along with a team of instructors who would be leading our training. They introduced themselves, and we were told that our first session would be a dance class. The instructor, a tall and imposing figure with a stern expression, put us through a series of stretches and warm-ups. I was surprised by how out of shape I was, and I struggled to keep up with the others. Manon, on the other hand, was a natural, moving with ease and fluidity. As we started to learn the choreography, I felt my anxiety spike. I had always loved dancing, but I had never taken a formal class before. I stumbled over my own feet, and the instructor stopped the music to correct me. "Remember, it's all about the rhythm and timing," she said, demonstrating the move again. "Let's try it again, slower this time." I took a deep breath and tried again, this time managing to get through the sequence without too many mistakes. The instructor smiled and nodded, and we moved on to the next song. The rest of the session was a blur of sweat, music, and movement. I was exhausted by the end of it, but I felt exhilarated too. I had never pushed myself so hard before, and I was proud of myself for trying. As we left the auditorium, Manon turned to me and grinned. "That was crazy!" she exclaimed. "But I loved it." I nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of solidarity with my best friend. We were in this together, and we were determined to make it work. The scout was waiting for us outside, along with the other instructors. "You girls did great today," she said, smiling. "But remember, this is just the beginning. You have a long way to go, and you'll be pushed to your limits. Are you ready for that?" We nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. We knew that we had a tough road ahead of us, but we were ready to take on the challenge.
