Unspoken Confessions

Part 194

Kirishima's face lit up with excitement as he said, "Hey, so just like the others, I like you too. You're just someone that's strong, especially for a girl, and I've never seen that before!" His words came out in a rush, and I could tell he was trying to be as straightforward as possible. I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I processed his statement. I wasn't sure how to react, but I managed to stammer out a response. "Thanks, Kirishima," I said, trying to play it cool despite the butterflies in my stomach. The others looked on, their faces a mix of amusement and curiosity. Mina's eyes sparkled with interest, while Bakugo's expression remained stoic. Kaminari, on the other hand, was grinning from ear to ear, clearly enjoying the awkward moment. Kirishima's face turned bright red as he realized the weight of his words. He looked like he had just blurted out a secret he wasn't supposed to share. "I-I mean, not that I like you like that, of course," he stammered, trying to backtrack. "I just mean, you're really strong and-" I held up a hand, laughing awkwardly. "Kirishima, it's okay. I understand what you meant." I smiled, trying to put him at ease. "And I appreciate the compliment." The tension in the air dissipated slightly, but I could still feel the weight of Kirishima's confession. I glanced around at the others, wondering if they would chime in or let the moment pass. Mina broke the silence, her voice light and airy. "So, does this mean we're all confessing our feelings now?" She looked around at the group, her eyes sparkling with mischief. The group fell silent, and I could sense the unspoken questions hanging in the air. Would the others follow Kirishima's lead, or would they keep their feelings hidden? The moment hung precariously, waiting to see what would happen next.
