Chapter 39: The Unexpected Encounter
Part 38
The air was thick with tension as Aizawa stepped forward, his eyes narrowing at Professor Orihara. "Hey, what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice firm but controlled. Professor Orihara's smile faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure. "I was just introducing myself to the students, Aizawa-sensei," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness. But Aizawa wasn't having it. "It's the middle of the night, Professor," he said, his tone unyielding. "The students have had a long day. I think it's time for them to get some rest." As he spoke, he took a step closer to Professor Orihara, his eyes never leaving hers. It was clear that he wasn't going to let her stay for even a minute longer than necessary. Professor Orihara's smile grew wider, but her eyes flashed with a hint of annoyance. "Of course, Aizawa-sensei," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I wouldn't want to keep them from their rest." With a sweeping motion, Aizawa escorted Professor Orihara out of the room, his eyes never leaving hers. The students watched in silence, unsure of what to make of the sudden turn of events. As the door closed behind them, the room erupted into a flurry of whispers and questions. "Who was that?" Mina asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Todoroki shrugged. "No idea, but Aizawa-sensei didn't seem too happy to see her." Bakugo snorted. "Yeah, and what's with the creepy smile?" Izuku looked thoughtful, his eyes still fixed on the door. "I think she's connected to my past somehow," he said, his voice low. I exchanged a concerned glance with Mina. There was something about Professor Orihara that didn't add up, something that made my instincts scream warning. As we all began to settle in for the night, I couldn't shake the feeling that this wasn't the last we'd seen of Professor Orihara. And I wondered what she really wanted with Izuku.
