"Heat of Embarrassment"
Part 34
As I stood frozen, trying to process the chaos that had erupted in the room, I noticed a group of familiar faces watching Oslo with a mixture of curiosity and envy. Deku, Kirishima, Shinso, Bakugo, Todoroki, and Kaminari all stood with their eyes fixed on Oslo, their expressions twisted in a scowl. I could sense the tension emanating from them, their jealousy palpable. Oslo, seeming to sense their gaze, turned to face them. A sly smile spread across his face as he met their eyes, his darkness swirling with amusement. The group of boys seemed to bristle under his gaze, their scowls deepening. But Oslo wasn't finished yet. He took a step forward, his presence commanding attention, and gave the group a withering glare. The room seemed to shrink, the air thickening with tension as he asserted his dominance. Mina burst out laughing, her voice echoing through the room. "Oh my gosh, this is priceless!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with mirth. I felt my face heat up to an even deeper shade of crimson as I muttered, "I wanna crawl into a hole and die." The attention was suffocating, and I just wanted to escape. The group of boys looked away, their faces sheepish, but I could sense their unease. Oslo, still smiling, turned back to me, his eyes locking onto mine with an unnerving intensity. Mina's laughter died down, and she sidled up to me, her voice barely above a whisper. "This is going to be interesting," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. I shot her a pleading look, but she just grinned and patted me on the back. The room seemed to be waiting with bated breath, the tension between Oslo and the group of boys still lingering in the air. As I stood there, frozen in embarrassment, I couldn't help but wonder what had just happened. Had Oslo just asserted his dominance over the group, or was there something more to it? And what did it mean for me, caught in the middle of this complicated web of emotions?
