**Riddle Me This**

Part 10

Alec led Sol and the Star Nymph through the winding paths of Wonderland, his eyes sparkling with mischief. They walked in silence, the only sound being the soft rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flowers, and Sol couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation. As they turned a corner, Alec stopped and turned to Sol. "I've been thinking," he said, his voice low and husky. "It's time we got to know each other better. Don't you think?" Sol raised an eyebrow, sensing a trap. "What did you have in mind?" she asked, her voice laced with sarcasm. Alec grinned, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I thought we could play a game of riddles," he said, his voice dripping with charm. "If you can solve them, I'll tell you a secret about myself." Sol hesitated, unsure of what to make of Alec's proposal. But her curiosity got the better of her, and she nodded. "Okay, deal," she said, her voice firm. The Star Nymph watched with interest, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ah, this should be fun," she said, her voice melodious. Alec cleared his throat and began. "Here's your first riddle: What can be broken, but never held? What can be given, but never sold?" Sol furrowed her brow, thinking hard. She had always loved riddles, and this one seemed particularly intriguing. After a moment, she smiled. "The answer is a promise," she said, her voice confident. Alec's eyes widened in surprise, and he nodded. "That's correct," he said, his voice impressed. "You're clever, Sol." Sol felt a surge of pride and excitement. She was starting to enjoy the game, and she couldn't wait to see what the next riddle would bring. The Star Nymph chimed in, her voice playful. "Ah, but the real question is, what's the secret you're hiding, Alec?" Alec chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Patience, my dear," he said, his voice low and husky. "You'll find out soon enough." As they continued on their journey, Alec presented Sol with riddle after riddle. Each one led her deeper into Wonderland's mysteries, and Sol found herself unraveling the threads of Alec's past and their connection to this strange and wondrous land. With each solved riddle, Sol felt a sense of accomplishment and excitement. She was starting to see Alec in a new light, as a kindred spirit who shared her love of puzzles and adventure. But as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over Wonderland, Sol realized that she was getting more and more tangled in Alec's web of charm and wit. She couldn't help but wonder what secrets he was hiding, and what lay beneath his enigmatic smile. As they walked, the Star Nymph reappeared, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Ah, Sol, you're getting close to the truth," she said, her voice low and husky. "But be careful, my dear. The truth can be more than you bargained for." Sol raised an eyebrow, sensing a warning. But she was determined to see this through, to unravel the mysteries of Wonderland and Alec's secrets. She nodded, her heart pounding with excitement and trepidation. The game of riddles had only just begun, and Sol was ready to play. But she had a feeling that the stakes were higher than she ever could have imagined.
