**Chapter 14: Under the Stars**
Part 14
The days leading up to the camping trip flew by in a blur of excitement and anticipation. Jesus and Maya couldn't stop talking about the trip, and their friends were just as stoked. As they packed up their gear and said their goodbyes, Jesus couldn't help but feel a sense of adventure wash over him. As they arrived at the campsite, Jesus's moms and their friends were busy setting up the tents and starting a fire. The smell of s'mores and burgers wafted through the air, making Jesus's stomach growl with hunger. He and Maya quickly got to work, helping to set up their tent and gather firewood. As the sun began to set, the group gathered around the fire to roast marshmallows and swap stories. Jesus and Maya snuggled up together, watching the stars twinkle to life above. The sound of crickets and the crackle of the fire created a soothing melody that seemed to lull the world into a peaceful slumber. As they gazed up at the stars, Jesus turned to Maya with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Want to sneak out of the campsite and go on an adventure?" he whispered. Maya's eyes sparkled with excitement. "What kind of adventure?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Jesus grinned. "I don't know, but I have a feeling it'll be epic." Maya nodded, and the two of them slipped away from the group, into the darkness of the forest. The trees towered above them, their branches creaking in the wind. Jesus and Maya walked hand in hand, their flashlights casting eerie shadows on the ground. As they walked, the sound of the crickets grew louder, and the air grew thick with the scent of wildflowers. Jesus and Maya stumbled upon a clearing, and in the center of it, they found a small pond, its surface reflecting the stars above. Maya gasped in wonder. "This is beautiful," she breathed. Jesus smiled, his eyes shining with excitement. "I knew it would be," he said, pulling her close. As they stood there, surrounded by the magic of the forest, Jesus and Maya shared their first kiss under the stars. It was a moment they would never forget, a moment that would change their lives forever. But as they pulled away, gasping for air, they heard a rustling in the bushes. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness, a figure that made Jesus's heart skip a beat...
