Chapter 2: Unified Dreams

Part 2

The twins burst through the front door of their home, excitement radiating from their faces. "Mom, Mom! Guess what?" Rachel asked, barely containing her enthusiasm. Usagi, who was busy making tea in the kitchen, turned to face them with a warm smile. "What is it, dear? You look like you've just discovered something amazing." Usagi's eyes widened as she listened to her children's eager chatter about the Unified Track and Field Team tryouts. Uriah and Rachel explained how they wanted to join the team and compete with their friends. Rei, who was sitting on the couch, reading a book, looked up and smiled. "That sounds wonderful, kids. I'd love to see you both on the team." Usagi nodded vigorously. "Of course, you can join. It'll be great experience for you both. I'm sure you'll make wonderful friends and have a lot of fun." Rachel and Uriah exchanged thrilled glances. "Really, Mom? You're not busy with your... Sailor Guardian stuff?" Rachel asked, referring to Usagi's occasional duties as Sailor Moon. Usagi chuckled. "Not at all, dear. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. Rei, what do you think? Shouldn't we tell Minako and Ami about this too?" Rei set her book aside and stood up. "That's a great idea. I'm sure they'll be thrilled to hear about it." The next day, Mary and Aiden arrived at the Hino residence, carrying their registration forms and sporting big smiles. Uriah and Rachel introduced them to their mothers, and soon, the whole group was chatting excitedly about the tryouts. Minako and Ami, who were visiting Rei's home with their children, were equally enthusiastic. "This is wonderful!" Minako exclaimed. "We should totally come cheer them on at the tryouts." Ami nodded in agreement. "Yes, and maybe we can even give them some advice on teamwork and strategy." As the mothers chatted, their children continued to discuss their plans and strategies for the tryouts. Uriah turned to Rachel and grinned. "We're going to crush it, Rach. We're going to make that team and have a blast doing it." Rachel playfully rolled her eyes. "You're on, Uriah. Let's show them what we're made of." The tryouts were just around the corner, and the excitement was building. With their mothers' support and encouragement, the four friends were ready to give it their all and make their dreams a reality.
