**Chapter 1: A Cosmic Morning**
Part 1
The warm sunlight streaming through the window danced across Millie Morales' face, gently rousing her from slumber. She stretched her long, lean body, arching her back and extending her arms above her head, giving a good yawn to signal the start of her day. Her dark brown hair, cut just above her chin, fluttered around her face, framing her heart-shaped features. Her doe-like eyes, a deep shade of brown, slowly opened, blinking away the remnants of sleep. A gentle smile spread across her face as she thought about the day ahead. Millie lived for mornings like these, where the world outside seemed to match the tranquility within her. She loved listening to the sounds of Brooklyn waking up – the chirping birds, the hum of the city, and the occasional chatter from the neighbors. Her room, a cozy sanctuary, was a reflection of her personality: a mix of soft pastel colors, astronomy posters, and a few ballet trophies on her shelf. The walls were adorned with pictures of her favorite planets and stars, and a large poster of the Spider-Verse Spider-Women, including her own Spider-Woman suit, hung proudly on one wall. As she swung her legs over the side of the bed, her gaze fell upon her Spider-Woman suit hanging on the door. The white and light pink jumpsuit, adorned with a heart-shaped spider logo, brought back memories of that fateful day when she and Miles gained their powers. A gentle chuckle escaped her lips as she recalled how the spider had crawled onto her bag and bitten her instead of Miles. After a quick wash and getting dressed in her favorite pink sweater and jeans, Millie headed downstairs to the kitchen. Her mom, Rio, was already busy whipping up breakfast, while her dad, Jefferson, sipped his coffee and read the newspaper. The aroma of freshly baked pastries wafted through the air, making Millie's stomach growl with anticipation. She loved her mom's baking, and today was no exception. "Good morning, m'ija," Rio greeted, giving Millie a warm smile. "I made your favorite – orange juice and croissants." Millie's face lit up. "Gracias, Mom." She poured herself a glass of orange juice and took a seat next to Miles, who was busy typing away on his phone. "Morning, Millie," Miles said, not looking up. The twins exchanged a brief, playful glance before Millie turned her attention to her mom. "Hey, Mom, can I talk to you about my ballet practice today? I have a performance coming up, and I want to make sure I'm perfect." Rio smiled, "Of course, sweetie. You know I have your back. How's your asthma been acting up lately?" Millie took a sip of her orange juice, "It's been okay, Mom. I haven't had any issues recently." As they chatted, Millie's mind began to wander to her conversations with Ganke. They had been friends for a while now, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest whenever he was around. She knew it was probably just a silly crush, but she couldn't deny the way she felt. The doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of their friend, Ganke Lee. Millie's heart skipped a beat as she heard his voice downstairs, chatting with her dad. She quickly got up to greet him, smoothing out her hair and applying a coat of her favorite dark red lip gloss. As she entered the living room, Ganke looked up, flashing a warm smile. "Hey, Millie." Millie's cheeks flushed slightly, but she smiled back, "Hey, Ganke." The morning was just beginning, and Millie had a feeling it was going to be an interesting day.
