**Chapter 6: Recovery**
Part 6
The warm sunlight streaming through the windows of the palace was a gentle balm to Iduna's battered body. She lay on the soft, feathered bed, feeling the gentle give of the mattress beneath her. The servant, a kind-faced woman with a warm smile, had just finished adjusting the pillows behind her back. "Thank you, Helga," Iduna said, smiling weakly. Her voice was still hoarse from the saltwater and the exertion of surviving the shipwreck. Helga nodded, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're welcome, Your Majesty. The royal physicians will be in to see you shortly. They'll make sure you're recovering properly." Iduna nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards the servant. She had been tended to by the palace staff since her arrival, and they had all been kind and attentive. As she waited for the physicians to arrive, Iduna couldn't help but think about her daughters, Elsa and Anna. She wondered how they were doing, and if they were thinking of her. She hoped that they were safe and happy in Arendelle. The door to her room opened, and a group of physicians entered, led by a stern-looking man with a thick beard. He introduced himself as Doctor Osten, and began to examine Iduna, asking her questions and checking her vital signs. After a few minutes, Doctor Osten nodded, a look of satisfaction on his face. "You're recovering well, Your Majesty," he said. "A bit weak, but that's to be expected. We'll make sure to keep a close eye on you, and provide you with any treatment you need." Iduna smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was grateful for the care and attention she was receiving, and she knew that she would be back on her feet soon. Over the next few days, Iduna continued to recover, slowly regaining her strength. She was tended to by the palace staff, and visited regularly by King Westergaard, who seemed to take a genuine interest in her well-being. As she rested, Iduna began to notice the small details of the palace, like the intricate carvings on the furniture, and the beautiful tapestries that hung on the walls. She saw the way the light danced through the windows, casting patterns on the floor, and the way the servants moved quietly, attending to their duties. Despite the comfort and luxury of the palace, Iduna couldn't shake the feeling that she was a long way from home. She missed the familiar streets of Arendelle, and the sound of the sea crashing against the shore. She missed Elsa and Anna, and the warmth of their hugs. But for now, she was safe, and that was all that mattered. Iduna closed her eyes, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she would get through this, and that she would find a way to get back to her daughters. As she drifted off to sleep, Iduna felt a sense of gratitude towards King Westergaard, who had taken her in and provided her with care and shelter. She didn't know what the future held, but for now, she was content to rest and recover, surrounded by the luxury of the palace. The palace was quiet, the only sound the soft hum of conversation from the servants, and the distant clanging of pots and pans from the kitchen. Iduna felt a sense of peace, and she knew that she would face whatever challenges lay ahead with courage and determination.
