"A Desperate Plan"

Part 3

Carlos and Jonathan exchanged a concerned glance as they watched William giggle and play, completely carefree after his close encounter with Harry. They knew they had to take drastic measures to ensure the little boy's safety around the bull. Their plan was to make William afraid of Harry, and they were willing to try anything to make it happen. The two men huddled together, discussing their strategy. "Let's tell him that if he gets close to Harry, he'll get rabies," Jonathan suggested. Carlos nodded in agreement. They approached William, who was busy playing with a ball, and began to explain the situation to him. "William, no go near Harry," Carlos said, trying to sound as serious as possible. "Harry give you rabies. You get sick, sick, sick. You die." William looked up at Carlos and Jonathan, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Rabies? Wuh wuh wuh!" he exclaimed, his broken English making it sound like a game. Jonathan and Carlos exchanged a frustrated glance. This wasn't going as planned. They had expected William to be scared, but instead, he seemed to think it was all a joke. "William, listen," Carlos tried again. "If you get rabies, you will start to foam at the mouth, and then you will have convulsions. You will feel very sick, and it will hurt a lot." William's expression changed, and he looked at Carlos with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Foam at mouth? Wuh wuh wuh!" he repeated, still not fully understanding the severity of the situation. Carlos sighed, realizing that his scare tactics weren't working as planned. He decided to try a different approach. "William, imagine you are playing with Harry, and then he bites you. You will feel a lot of pain, and you will get very sick. You might even die." William's eyes widened, and he looked at Carlos with a serious expression. For a moment, he seemed to consider the possibility. But then, his face broke into a smile, and he exclaimed, "Harry bite me? Wuh wuh wuh! Harry my friend!" Jonathan and Carlos exchanged a worried glance. They had no idea how to make William understand the danger that Harry posed. They were starting to realize that their plan might not be working, and they were running out of ideas. As they walked away, Carlos turned to Jonathan and whispered, "I don't think this is going to work. We need to come up with a new plan." Jonathan nodded in agreement. "But what can we do? We can't just leave William to get hurt." Carlos shook his head. "I don't know, but we need to think of something fast. Before it's too late."
