Rivalry on the Field
Part 3
One day, as Kenzy and Alex were walking down the hallway, discussing their strategy for the upcoming game, Kenzy couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. She had been captain of the soccer team for a few weeks now, and she was determined to lead them to victory. "I'm telling you, Alex, we need to work on our defense," Kenzy said, her eyes scanning the crowded hallway. Alex nodded in agreement. "I know, I've been thinking about that too. Maybe we can try a new formation?" As they continued to discuss their plan, Levi appeared out of nowhere, his eyes fixed intently on Kenzy and Alex. Kenzy felt a flutter in her chest as he approached them, but she tried to brush it off. "Hey, what's going on?" Levi asked, his voice low and smooth. Kenzy smiled, trying to sound casual. "Just discussing our game plan, Levi. What about you?" Levi shrugged, his eyes never leaving Kenzy's face. "Just wondering if you two were up to something. You seem to be getting pretty close, huh?" Alex raised an eyebrow, sensing the tension in Levi's voice. "What do you mean?" Levi's eyes narrowed slightly. "I mean, you're always talking, laughing... it's like you're two peas in a pod." Kenzy felt a surge of defensiveness on Alex's behalf. "Hey, Alex is my teammate and my friend. What's wrong with that?" Levi's expression turned cold, his jaw clenched. "Nothing's wrong with that, I guess. It's just... I don't know, it seems like you're replacing me or something." Alex looked taken aback by Levi's outburst. "Whoa, Levi, that's not what we're doing. We're just friends, Kenzy and I." Levi's eyes flashed with anger, but he quickly regained control, his expression smoothing out. "Whatever. I just thought I'd mention it." Kenzy felt a pang of unease as Levi turned and walked away, leaving her and Alex looking at each other in confusion. "Well, that was weird," Alex said, breaking the silence. Kenzy nodded, her mind racing. "Yeah, I have no idea what's going on with him." As they continued down the hallway, Kenzy couldn't shake the feeling that Levi's behavior was more than just a simple case of jealousy. There was something deeper going on, something that she couldn't quite put her finger on. Meanwhile, Levi watched from afar, his eyes burning with a mixture of anger and frustration. He had always been the star of the school, the one everyone looked up to. But now, with Kenzy on the scene, he felt like he was losing his grip on things. He couldn't explain why, but he felt a strong connection to Kenzy, a connection that went beyond just friendship. And he didn't like the fact that she was getting close to Alex, someone who was not him. Levi's eyes narrowed as he made his way to his locker, his mind racing with thoughts of how he could win Kenzy back, how he could make her see him, and only him. Little did he know, his actions would set off a chain reaction that would change everything.
