**Chapter 13: Dragon Site**
Part 13
As I stepped off the small plane that had brought me to the outskirts of the dragon site in Romania, the crisp mountain air filled my lungs, and the scent of smoke and earthy dampness enveloped me. I had been searching for leads on the trading company for days, and finally, I had a concrete connection to a dragon site. I had a feeling that this was the break I needed. The Ministry had provided me with a cover story, and I was now "Lena Grant," a new dragon handler looking to work with the site's team. I had spent hours researching the site and its workers, but I knew that I had to be careful. One misstep, and my cover could be blown. As I made my way to the site's main buildings, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. I had always been fascinated by dragons, and the thought of working with them was a thrill. But I knew that I had to stay focused. My mission was to gather information, not to indulge in my curiosity. The site was bustling with activity, dragon handlers and breeders moving about, tending to the needs of the magnificent creatures. I spotted a group of workers gathered near one of the enclosures, and I made my way towards them. As I approached, I noticed a familiar face among the group. Charlie Weasley, a close friend from my Hogwarts days, was chatting with one of the handlers, a look of intense focus on his face. I hadn't seen him in years, but I had heard that he was working with dragons now. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to approach him. But Charlie's eyes met mine, and a wide smile spread across his face. "Sadie!" he exclaimed, striding towards me. "What are you doing here?" I was taken aback by his enthusiasm, but I quickly recovered. "Charlie! I'm so glad to see you. I'm here to learn about the dragon site and possibly work with the team." Charlie's eyes narrowed slightly, and I could tell that he wasn't buying my story. But he didn't push the issue. "Well, you've come to the right place. We're always looking for skilled handlers. Let me introduce you to the team." As Charlie introduced me to the team, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I had been so careful to keep my cover intact, and now, here I was, face to face with someone who knew me. But Charlie didn't seem to suspect anything, and I breathed a sigh of relief. As we walked towards the enclosures, Charlie filled me in on the site's operations. They were working with a variety of dragon breeds, from the majestic Hungarian Horntails to the more docile Swedish Short-Snouted dragons. I listened intently, asking questions and taking mental notes. But as we walked, I couldn't shake the feeling that Charlie was watching me, his eyes lingering on my face. I wondered if he suspected that something was off about me, or if he was just being friendly. As the day wore on, I found myself growing more and more comfortable around Charlie and the team. They were a tight-knit group, and I felt like I was starting to fit in. But I knew that I had to be careful. One misstep, and my cover could be blown. As the sun began to set, Charlie turned to me and said, "You know, Sadie, I think we could use someone with your skills on our team. Would you like to stick around for a while and see if it's a good fit?" I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to respond. But then, I nodded, a sense of excitement and anticipation building inside me. "Yes, I'd love to." As I followed Charlie back to the site's main buildings, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What lay ahead for me on this journey? And what secrets was Charlie hiding? I knew that I had to be careful, but for now, I was along for the ride.
