**Chapter 1: An Unexpected Guest**

Part 1

It was Banks' idea. We all weren't too sure it was a smart one, but we all trust Banks. Banks had an idea to invite one of our fans to stay with us for a week, we would randomly select them from our followers list on YouTube. It was a risky idea considering the fact that the fan could try and rob us or worse, but regardless we all agreed that it would be fun. We were all sat at our dining room table in our New York apartment, surrounded by gaming equipment and Faze Clan merchandise. The apartment was usually bustling with activity, but today it was relatively quiet. Our other members were either out running errands or in their rooms gaming. I, Adapt, was scrolling through our follower list on YouTube, along with Banks, Apex, and Rain. We were all sipping on energy drinks and chatting idly as we searched for the perfect fan to invite. Banks was the one who came up with this idea, and he was determined to see it through. He scrolled and scrolled through our followers, and I could tell he was getting a bit restless. "Come on, guys, let's find someone," he said, his voice filled with excitement. Rain, who was sitting across from me, suddenly yelled out, "Stop!" Banks immediately stopped scrolling and looked at the screen. "Okay, let's see who we got," he said, clicking on the profile. The profile was pretty bare, with a short username: Jay. It was probably the person's name, but it was quite boring. The profile had no posts, no comments on anything, no profile picture, but it did have one thing: an email linked with the account. Apex, who was sitting next to me, snatched up the phone and quickly emailed the follower, explaining that they were going to fly them out for a week to stay with them, as long as they agreed. We all sat there for about 30 minutes, conversing with each other and waiting for a response. Finally, the phone beeped, indicating that we had a new email. Apex opened it and read out loud, "Hello Faze Clan, I would love to come out and see you, but I need to convince my parents first. You see, I'm only 16 years old." We all looked at each other, surprised that our follower was so young. But what really caught us off guard was how well-spoken the kid sounded. Apex quickly replied to the email, telling the kid to let them know if he could or couldn't come, and that we'd pay for his flight there and back. The next two days were a blur of gaming and vlogging, but we were all excitedly waiting for a response from Jay. Finally, on the second day, Banks stormed into the living room where we were all hanging out. "Guys, I got an update from Jay," he said, barely containing his excitement. We all turned to him, eager to hear the news. "What did he say?" Rain asked, leaning forward. Banks grinned. "He got the okay from his parents, and he's coming out to stay with us!" We all cheered and high-fived each other, excited for the opportunity to meet one of our fans. Apex quickly snatched the phone up to reply to Jay again, asking him when he could come. The response was instant: "Whenever works for you guys." Apex asked if he'd be fine to fly out tomorrow, and Jay instantly replied, "That's fine." And just like that, we had booked the tickets for Jay, our 16-year-old fan from Texas. I couldn't help but wonder what he would be like in person. Would he be shy and awkward, or outgoing and confident? One thing was for sure: the next week was going to be interesting.
