Chapter 2: An Unexpected Evening
Part 2
As they sat down on the couch with the snacks and drinks, Onjo couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Despite Cheongsan's charming smile and warm demeanor, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was stepping into unfamiliar territory. The grandeur of the house and the quietness of the evening atmosphere only added to her apprehension. As they began to study, Onjo found herself getting more and more distracted. Cheongsan's easygoing nature and effortless charm made her feel at ease, but she couldn't help but wonder what lay beneath his charming facade. She glanced around the room, taking in the trophies and awards on the shelf, and the bookshelf filled with novels and textbooks. Cheongsan, sensing her distraction, turned to her with a mischievous grin. "Hey, Onjo, you seem a little distant. Is everything okay?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with concern. Onjo shook her head, feeling a little flustered. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired, I guess." Cheongsan nodded sympathetically. "Let's take a break, then. I have a great idea to help you relax." Before Onjo could protest, Cheongsan got up and pulled out a small CD player from the drawer. He put in a CD and the room was filled with the soothing sounds of jazz music. Onjo's eyes widened as Cheongsan started to move around the room, his feet tapping out the rhythm on the floor. "Come on, Onjo, let's dance!" he exclaimed, holding out his hand. Onjo hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should give in to Cheongsan's impulsive suggestion. But something about the music and the evening atmosphere drew her in. She took his hand, and together they glided across the floor, their movements fluid and carefree. As they danced, Onjo felt her inhibitions melting away. She laughed and spun around, feeling a sense of freedom she hadn't experienced in a long time. Cheongsan's eyes sparkled with amusement, and for a moment, Onjo forgot about the unease she had felt earlier. The music came to an end, and they collapsed onto the couch, laughing and out of breath. Onjo felt a sense of closeness to Cheongsan that she hadn't expected, and she couldn't help but wonder if this was the start of something new. As they sat there, catching their breath, Onjo noticed that Cheongsan's eyes seemed to linger on hers for a moment longer than necessary. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her heart began to beat just a little bit faster. "Thanks for the break," Onjo said, trying to sound casual. "I think I'm ready to focus on my studies now." Cheongsan grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Anytime, Onjo. I'm always happy to help." As they settled back into their studies, Onjo couldn't help but feel that this was going to be a very interesting evening indeed. The question was, where would it lead?
