"A Sunny Afternoon by the Lake"

Part 75

As they lounged on the shore, Anna and Moana exchanged a curious glance, eager to hear more about Caleb's day. Caleb took a sip of his drink, a thoughtful expression on his face. "You know, I had a really tough decision to make earlier today," he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "After I finished walking around the garden with Cinderella and Snow White, I was torn on whether to hang out with you guys at the lake or go hang out with Ariel and Jasmine at the beach." Anna's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Really? What made you choose to come here?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity. Caleb grinned. "Cause I love to go swimming, it's my favorite. And I wasn't sure which one I'd enjoy more – swimming in the lake or the ocean." Moana's face lit up with excitement. "I'm so glad you chose to come here! The lake is perfect for swimming. And we can always go to the beach another time if you want." Anna nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we've been to the beach a few times. It's a lot of fun, but there's something special about spending time by the lake. It's so peaceful and relaxing." Caleb smiled, feeling grateful for the warm and welcoming atmosphere they had created. "I know exactly what you mean. I feel like I can just be myself around you guys, and that's a really nice feeling." As they continued to chat and laugh together, the sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting a warm golden light across the lake. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birds singing in the distance. After a while, Moana stood up, stretching her arms overhead. "I think it's time we started getting ready for our picnic dinner. We can set up a blanket and some pillows, and then head out to find the perfect spot to watch the sunset." Anna nodded, and the two of them began to gather their belongings, chatting excitedly about the evening ahead. Caleb watched them, feeling grateful for the opportunity to spend more time with his new friends. As they packed up their things, Caleb couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. He had a feeling that this was just the beginning of a wonderful adventure, one that would bring him even closer to Anna and Moana.
