**The Fury of Dragon and Knight**
Part 17
As Scorch summoned the last of her energy, a brilliant light enveloped her body, and with a deafening roar, she unleashed a final, mighty blast of dragon magic. The air seemed to shimmer and distort as the energy shot forth, a colossus of flame and power that threatened to consume everything in its path. Sir Valoric, sensing the moment of truth, charged forward with a battle cry, his sword held high. He leapt into the air, his body arcing towards the enemy as Scorch's magic washed over him. The dragon's energy enveloped him, and for an instant, it seemed as though he was one with the very fabric of the storm. As he came down, his sword absorbed the energy of Scorch's magic, and the blade began to glow with an intense, fiery light. The orc, goblins, and dark mage cowered in anticipation, sensing the approaching doom. Sir Valoric landed with a thud, his sword flashing in a deadly arc as he brought it down in a crushing blow. The blade sliced through the air, leaving a trail of glittering sparks in its wake, and struck the orc with the force of a thunderclap. The creature let out a pained roar as it stumbled backward, its battle-axe shattered, its body torn asunder by the knight's mighty blow. The goblins, already reeling from the dragon's magic and the knight's previous attacks, were unable to withstand the fury of Sir Valoric's assault. They were cut down, their bodies broken and battered, as the knight's sword sliced through their ranks. In the end, only the dark mage remained, its eyes wide with terror as Scorch, exhausted but determined, summoned the last of her strength. With a weak but final roar, she launched herself at the dark mage, her jaws wide open. The dark mage, realizing its fate was sealed, attempted to raise its staff in a futile gesture of defiance. Scorch, however, was unforgiving. With a swift, deadly motion, she clamped her jaws shut, ending the dark mage's malevolent life. As the darkness dissipated, Scorch collapsed to the ground, her body spent and exhausted from the exertion. Sir Valoric, his armor battered and his sword still aglow with energy, stood over her, his chest heaving with exertion. Together, they had triumphed over their foes, and for a moment, they basked in the warm glow of victory.
