Part 8
As they arrived at the lockers, Adapt quickly pulled out his phone and sent a group text: "Everyone, we need to get back to the lockers ASAP. It's an emergency." The responses started rolling in immediately, with Ron and Lacy voicing their discontent. "What's going on? We just got here two hours ago!" Ron complained. "Yeah, can't it wait?" Lacy added. But Adapt was firm. "No negotiating, guys. Just get here as soon as you can." Silky, who had been quietly observing the exchange, raised an eyebrow but said nothing. He knew Adapt wouldn't call them all together without a good reason. It didn't take long for the group to assemble, and soon they were all gathered at the lockers, grabbing their belongings and exchanging curious glances. Silky noticed that the atmosphere was tense, but he waited until they were all loaded into the car before speaking up. "Hey, what's going on? Why the sudden rush to leave?" he asked, his eyes scanning the group. Adapt took a deep breath before launching into the explanation. "Sangwoo was at the amusement park, and he was being really touchy with Jason." Lacy immediately jumped to his defense. "Come on, Adapt, just because you got jealous that some dude grabbed Jason on the shoulder or something doesn't mean you get to ruin the fun for the rest of us." But Rage cut him off, his voice sharp. "It's not just that, Lacy. Sangwoo was grabbing Jason's thigh and being really weird. He had a tight grip on him, and Jason looked like he was in pain." The car fell silent as Jason let out a soft sob, his emotions finally getting the best of him. He curled into Silky's side, and Silky wrapped a comforting arm around him. "Hey, it's okay, buddy," Silky said softly. "We're here for you." The group sat in stunned silence for a moment, before Lacy cleared his throat. "Whoa, sorry, Jason. We had no idea." The car continued on, the only sound the hum of the engine and Jason's quiet sniffles. Eventually, they arrived home, and the group quickly dispersed, with Adapt and Rage staying close to Jason. As they pulled into the driveway, Silky helped Jason out of the car, and they walked him to his front door. "We're going to get to the bottom of this, Jason," Silky promised. "You're safe now." Jason nodded, his eyes still shining with tears, and Silky could see the fear and uncertainty etched on his face. He knew that this was far from over, and that they would have to confront Sangwoo about his behavior. But for now, they would focus on supporting Jason and making sure he was safe.
