"An Unlikely Alliance"

Part 2

The air was electric with anticipation as Kenzy outlined her plan to take down the particularly nasty Titan that had been terrorizing the outskirts of the city. Levi listened intently, his eyes narrowing as he analyzed every detail. She could see the wheels turning in his mind, his gaze piercing as he weighed the risks and benefits of her proposal. As she finished speaking, Levi nodded curtly, his expression unreadable. "I'll join you," he said, his deep voice low and deadly. "But we need to be strategic about this. We can't take on that Titan alone." Kenzy grinned, a thrill of excitement running through her veins. "I was counting on your expertise, Levi," she said, her voice laced with amusement. Levi's expression remained stoic, but a hint of a smile played on his lips. "Let's get to work, then," he said, his voice dry. With the plan set in motion, Kenzy bid Levi farewell, promising to meet him at the city gates at dawn. As she made her way back to her quarters, she felt a sense of excitement and trepidation. This was going to be a tough mission, but with Levi by her side, she felt a sense of confidence she hadn't felt in a long time. As she entered her room, she collapsed onto her bed, exhausted from the day's events. Her eyelids drooped, and before she knew it, she was fast asleep. When she woke up, she was disoriented, her mind foggy. But as she slowly came to, she realized that something was off. She felt strong arms wrapped around her waist, holding her close. Her heart skipped a beat as she froze, her body tense with fear. She didn't dare move, didn't dare breathe. Who was it? And why were they holding her? Slowly, she turned her head, her eyes scanning the darkness. And then, she saw him. Levi Ackerman, the legendary captain of the Special Operations Squad, was sleeping next to her, his arms wrapped around her waist. Kenzy's fear gave way to surprise, and then, to relief. She felt a sense of calm wash over her, and she realized that she was safe. Levi would never hurt her. She lay there for a moment, watching him sleep. His face was peaceful, his features softened by the gentle curves of his eyelids. He looked... vulnerable, and Kenzy felt a pang of affection for the man. As she gazed at him, she realized that she had never seen him like this before. Never seen him so... relaxed. And yet, even in his sleep, he was still protective, still guarding her. Kenzy's heart skipped a beat as she wondered how he had ended up in her bed. Had he come to her room during the night? And why was he holding her so close? She didn't have the answers, but as she lay there, wrapped in Levi's arms, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. For the first time in a long time, she felt safe.
