Chapter 1: A Jolt to Reality
Part 1
Hua Yue's eyes fluttered open to an unfamiliar ceiling. Groggily, she sat up, rubbing her temples. Where was she? The last thing she remembered was going to bed in her own cozy little apartment, surrounded by her beloved books and trinkets. Now, she found herself in a lavish room with velvet drapes and a four-poster bed. A glance around the room revealed a sprawling cityscape outside the window, but it wasn't the city she knew. Panic set in as she scrambled out of bed, her heart racing. How did she get here? And where was here, exactly? She stumbled towards the window, and her eyes widened as she took in the view. The city was called Hell, and it was teeming with... demons? A soft knock at the door broke her trance. "Enter," she called out, trying to sound braver than she felt. The door creaked open, and a stylishly dressed figure sauntered in. It was Alastor, the infamous overlord of the Vices. Hua Yue's cheeks flushed as their eyes met. She had a major crush on him, and now she was face-to-face with her idol. "Good morning, darling," Alastor said, his voice as smooth as honey. "I see you're awake. I trust you're feeling... well?" Hua Yue tried to play it cool, but her voice came out in a squeak. "Y-yes, I'm fine. Thanks for asking." She attempted to hide behind a nearby curtain, but Alastor's piercing gaze followed her. Just as she thought things couldn't get any more awkward, Lucifer Morningstar, the Queen of Hell herself, strode into the room. Hua Yue's eyes went wide as she took in Lucifer's stunning appearance. She had always been fascinated by the queen's strength and beauty. "Ah, our little guest is awake," Lucifer said, her voice like music. "Welcome to Hazbin Hotel, Hua Yue. I hope you're enjoying your stay so far." Hua Yue's face burned as she tried to curtsy, but her legs felt like jelly. "T-thank you, Your Majesty. It's... an honor to meet you." Alastor chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I think our guest is a bit... shell-shocked. Perhaps we should give her some time to adjust?" Lucifer nodded, her expression softening. "Very well. I'll leave you to... get acquainted with our little rabbit fairy friend." As Lucifer departed, Alastor leaned against the doorframe, watching Hua Yue with an unnerving intensity. "So, tell me, Hua Yue. What do you think of our little corner of the multiverse?" Hua Yue took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. She had so many questions, but her mind was a jumbled mess. "I... it's all so... surreal. I don't even know how I got here." Alastor's smile was like a whispered promise. "Oh, darling. You'll find out soon enough. But for now, let's just enjoy the... confusion." Hua Yue's heart skipped a beat as Alastor's gaze lingered on hers. She felt like a rabbit caught in the headlights, unsure of what to do next. But one thing was certain: her life was about to take a drastic turn, and she was about to meet a lot more of her favorite characters from the show.
