**Chapter 1: Morning Cuddles**
Part 1
Remus was engrossed in the pages of his book, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a warm light on his face. The words danced across the page, transporting him to a world far removed from the wizarding realm he inhabited. Beside him, Tonks lay sleeping, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. Her dark hair was spread out across the pillow, and her eyelashes fluttered slightly as she chased after some dream. As he read, Tonks suddenly stirred, rolling over onto her side and snuggling up close to Remus. Her arms wrapped around his waist, holding him tight as if she feared he might disappear in the night. Remus smiled, setting his book aside and gently stroking her hair. "We have to wake up, darling," he whispered softly, trying to coax her awake. Tonks murmured something incoherent and pulled herself closer, her face pressing into his side. Remus could feel her warm breath on his skin, and it sent a shiver down his spine. He tried to gently pry her off him, but Tonks was surprisingly strong in her sleep, her grip unyielding. "No, you're so comfy," she mumbled, her voice husky with sleep. Remus chuckled and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer. "I'm glad I can provide comfort, but we really should get up. We have a lot to do today." Tonks stirred again, this time more awake, and looked up at Remus with bleary eyes. "Why do we have to get up?" she asked, her voice laced with a sleepy pout. Remus smiled, his heart warming at her adorable expression. "Because, my love, we have meetings at the Ministry and I have a report to finish." Tonks groaned, burying her face into his chest. "Do we have to?" Remus laughed softly, feeling a flutter in his chest at her clinginess. "I'm afraid so, but we'll get through it together." With a bit of effort, Remus managed to gently extricate himself from Tonks's grasp, and she finally sat up, rubbing her eyes. "Okay, okay. I'm up." Remus watched her, a loving smile on his face. "Good morning," he said, pulling her into a gentle kiss. Tonks smiled back, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Good morning," she replied, snuggling back into his side. As they sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, Remus realized that mornings like these were his favorite part of the day. It was in these quiet moments that he felt most connected to Tonks, most at peace. With a sigh, Tonks finally pulled away, swinging her legs over the side of the bed. "Let's get ready, then," she said, her voice filled with a newfound sense of purpose. Remus nodded, watching her go. He couldn't help but feel grateful for the love they shared, a love that made even the most mundane mornings feel special. As he got out of bed, Tonks caught his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm glad we're in this together," she said, looking up at him with adoration. Remus's heart swelled, and he smiled down at her. "Me too, my love. Me too."
