Harmony of Surprises
Part 214
I carefully placed my guitar away in its case, the soft closing sound a signal that it was time to move on to the next performance. As I turned to face the group, I noticed Kirishima and Kaminari standing side by side, both of them looking eager to get started. I decided to go against Kirishima first, and with a nod, we began to prepare for our duet. The song we chose had a bit of a beat to it, a lively tune that required some adjustments to my voice. I didn't mind, though - I was always up for a challenge. As we began to sing, I could feel Kirishima's eyes on me, and I knew he was waiting to see how I would adapt my voice to the song. The group watched in surprise as I altered my tone, my voice taking on a slightly different quality. They seemed to be enjoying the change, and their faces lit up with excitement. Kirishima grinned at me, and I could tell he was pleased with how our voices were blending together. As we reached the end of the song, Kirishima and I exchanged a look, and then we launched into a sweet, harmonious finale. Our voices soared together, creating a beautiful sound that filled the air. The group erupted into applause, cheering and whistling for more. Kirishima beamed at me, his eyes shining with happiness. I smiled back, feeling a sense of joy and connection with him. Without thinking, we both stepped forward, and Kirishima wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug. As we hugged, Kirishima's lips brushed against mine, and I felt a flutter in my chest. I had expected it, but it still caught me off guard. I felt flustered, my face growing hot as I tried to process what was happening. I hugged Kirishima back, my heart racing with excitement. I couldn't help but smile, feeling happy and content in his arms. As we pulled back, Kirishima's eyes locked onto mine, and I knew that this was just the beginning of something special. The group around us cheered and whistled, but I barely noticed. All I could see was Kirishima, and the way he made me feel. I smiled at him, and he smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. In that moment, everything felt right with the world.
