"Healing and Harmony"
Part 192
Two minutes had passed, and I could feel my body restored to its optimal state. The pain was gone, and I was good as new. I stood up straight, a wide smile spreading across my face. "See guys, no big deal!" I said, trying to downplay the severity of the situation. My friends looked at me with a mix of relief and amazement, still trying to process how quickly I had recovered. Bakugo, in particular, looked like he was about to collapse. His face was still pale, and his eyes were downcast, filled with regret. But when I smiled at him, something seemed to lift off his shoulders. His expression softened, and he looked up at me with a hint of relief. I chuckled and patted him on the back. "Though next time, let's try to not get in a fight, okay? That hurt like hell," I said, trying to make light of the situation. Bakugo's eyes widened, and he looked at me with a mixture of surprise and gratitude. Mina and Kaminari nodded in agreement, still looking a bit shaken. "Yeah, let's avoid fights whenever possible," Mina said, her voice filled with concern. Kaminari nodded vigorously, his eyes wide with agreement. Bakugo, however, looked at me with a serious expression. "I'm sorry again, Vesper. I promise to control my temper better next time," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. I smiled at him, and he seemed to relax a bit. I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of camaraderie wash over me. We were friends, and we had our disagreements, but at the end of the day, we cared for each other. "It's okay, Bakugo. I know you didn't mean to hurt me that badly. Let's just move on, okay?" I said, trying to diffuse the tension. My friends nodded in agreement, and we all shared a moment of silence. Then, Kaminari spoke up, breaking the silence. "Hey, shall we get some food? I'm starving!" Mina nodded in agreement, and Bakugo looked up at me with a hint of a smile. I grinned, feeling a sense of normalcy return to our group. "Yeah, let's go get some food. I'm buying," I said, trying to sound casual. Bakugo's smile grew, and he clapped me on the back. "You're on, Vesper. Let's go." And with that, we set off, our little group once again united and ready for whatever came next.
