**Chapter 5: The Trail of Dr. Li**

Part 5

Korra's eyes scanned the contact information Hiroshi had provided, her mind already racing with possibilities. She tucked the notebook into her pocket, a sense of determination settling in. "Thank you, Mr. Sato," she said, her voice sincere. "We'll look into this and see where it takes us." Hiroshi nodded, his expression serious. "Be careful, Korra. As I said, there are... forces at play here. I'm not sure what you're getting yourself into." Korra nodded, her jaw set. "Don't worry, I can handle myself." She turned to Mako, who was watching her with a concerned expression. "Let's go find Dr. Li." The two of them left Hiroshi's office, making their way back to the lobby of Future Industries. As they walked, Korra pulled out her comms device and contacted Dr. Li, hoping to arrange a meeting. To her surprise, Dr. Li agreed to meet with them immediately, and provided an address in the city's financial district. Korra and Mako hailed a taxi and headed to the location, their excitement growing with every passing minute. As they arrived at the address, Korra's eyes widened in surprise. The building was a sleek, modern skyscraper, with a gleaming glass and steel façade. The sign above the entrance read "Li-Kai Investments". Korra exchanged a look with Mako, her mind racing with possibilities. "This doesn't feel right," she said, her voice low. Mako nodded, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. "I don't like it either. Something feels off." Korra's instincts were screaming at her to be cautious, but she pushed on, determination driving her forward. She led the way into the building, Mako close behind. The lobby was sleek and modern, with a polished marble floor and a gleaming reception desk. Korra approached the desk, where a poised young woman looked up from her console. "Can I help you?" she asked, her voice friendly. Korra flashed a smile. "We're here to see Dr. Li. We have an appointment." The receptionist's eyes flickered, and for a moment, Korra thought she saw a glimmer of fear. But then, the woman's expression smoothed out, and she nodded. "Ah, yes. Dr. Li is expecting you. Please, take the elevator to the top floor." Korra and Mako exchanged a look, their instincts on high alert. Something was very wrong here. As they stepped into the elevator, Korra couldn't shake the feeling that they were walking into a trap.
