"A Night to Remember"

Part 9

It had been a year since Tony and Pam had shared that kiss in the on-call room, and their relationship had only grown stronger with time. They had been through the ups and downs of working in the ER, and their love had endured. Tony loved how Pam could tease him about his forehead, which had a tendency to squinch up when he was thinking hard. He would often catch her giggling at him when he was concentrating on a particularly difficult case. In return, Tony loved to poke fun at Pam's eyes, which seemed to turn a deeper shade of green when she was teary-eyed. It was a quirk that he found adorable, and he would often make a big deal about it whenever she got emotional. Pam would roll her eyes good-naturedly, but Tony could tell she secretly loved the attention. One evening, Tony decided to plan a special date for Pam. He picked her up from work and took her to a fancy restaurant in the city, where they were greeted by the maître d' and shown to their cozy table by the window. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic, with soft music playing in the background and candles flickering on every table. As they perused the menu, Tony couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. He had been planning this night for weeks, and he couldn't wait to see the look on Pam's face when he finally made his move. Over dinner, they chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company as they always did. Tony was careful to keep the conversation light and fun, not wanting to give away his plans just yet. After dinner, Tony suggested they take a walk along the riverfront, which was beautifully lit up at night. The air was cool and crisp, and Pam snuggled up close to Tony as they strolled along the water's edge. As they walked, Tony couldn't help but think about how much he loved Pam. He loved her kindness, her compassion, and her beautiful smile. He loved the way she made him feel, like he was home. Eventually, they found themselves at a small park overlooking the river. Tony stopped and turned to Pam, taking her hand in his. "Pam, from the moment I met you, I knew there was something special about you," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "You light up my life in ways I never thought possible. You make me laugh, you make me feel seen and heard, and you make me feel loved." Pam's eyes were shining with tears as Tony dropped to one knee, pulling out a small box from his pocket. "Pam Scott, will you marry me?" he asked, his voice trembling with emotion. Pam's eyes widened in shock, and then a huge smile spread across her face. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" she exclaimed, as Tony slid the ring onto her finger. As they hugged and kissed, the city lights twinkling behind them, Tony knew that this was just the beginning of their happily ever after.
