**Chapter 1: Capture**

Part 1

Ahsoka Tano crouched behind a crumbling wall, her lightsaber humming softly as she surveyed the desolate landscape of the Separatist planet. Her mission was to gather intelligence on the Separatist's operations in the sector, but so far, she had found nothing but abandoned buildings and dusty streets. The twin suns of the planet's binary system beat down on her, casting long shadows across the ground. As she peered around the wall, a blaster bolt whizzed past her ear, striking the wall with a shower of sparks. Ahsoka ducked back, her heart racing, and returned fire with her blaster. She exchanged shots with her attacker, a lone figure clad in dark armor, for several tense moments. The sound of blaster fire echoed off the buildings, and the smell of smoke and ozone filled the air. The figure, an Inquisitor, proved too skilled, and Ahsoka found herself pinned down, her blaster overheating in her hand. The Inquisitor's armor seemed to absorb the light around him, making him almost invisible in the shadows. Ahsoka's lightsaber sliced through the air, striking the Inquisitor's armor and sending sparks flying, but he dodged and weaved, avoiding her attacks. The Inquisitor closed in, his lightsaber slicing through the air with deadly precision. Ahsoka leapt to her feet, her own lightsaber shining bright blue as she prepared to defend herself. The two clashed, their lightsabers meeting in a shower of sparks. Ahsoka parried the Inquisitor's attacks, but he was relentless, pushing her back with his aggressive strikes. Despite her skill, Ahsoka found herself on the defensive, the Inquisitor's relentless assault pushing her back. She stumbled, her foot catching on a loose rock, and the Inquisitor took advantage of the momentary lapse. His lightsaber bit deep into her shoulder, sending Ahsoka crashing to the ground. As she struggled to rise, the Inquisitor loomed over her, his lightsaber poised for the killing blow. Ahsoka raised her hands, and a burst of Force energy sent the Inquisitor stumbling back. The sudden burst of adrenaline gave her the strength to scramble to her feet and make a desperate bid for escape. But it was too late. The Inquisitor recovered quickly, and with a swift kick, he sent Ahsoka tumbling back to the ground. This time, she didn't get up. The Inquisitor stood over her, his chest heaving with exertion, his mask glinting in the fading light. "You're a hard one to catch, Ahsoka Tano," he said, his voice distorted by the mask. "But now that I have you, you'll make a perfect subject for my research." Ahsoka glared up at him, her hand instinctively reaching for the hilt of her lightsaber. But it was out of her reach, and the Inquisitor's boot pressed down on her wrist, pinning her to the ground. The Inquisitor's mask seemed to leer at her, and Ahsoka felt a shiver run down her spine. There was something unsettling about his voice, something that sent a chill through her veins. She tried to struggle, but the Inquisitor's grip was too strong. With a grunt, the Inquisitor hauled Ahsoka to her feet, his arm wrapped around her throat. She struggled, but he held her fast, his grip like a vice. The Inquisitor's armor seemed to close in around her, suffocating her. As the suns dipped below the horizon, casting the planet in a dark, eerie twilight, Ahsoka realized that her situation was dire. She was at the mercy of a ruthless enemy, with no clear escape in sight. The Inquisitor's laughter echoed through the air, sending a shiver down her spine. The darkness seemed to close in around her, and Ahsoka felt a sense of foreboding wash over her. She knew that she was in grave danger, and that her fate hung in the balance. The Inquisitor's grip tightened around her throat, and Ahsoka's vision began to blur. Everything went dark.
