Unwanted Companionship
Part 9
The next day, Jason was feeling a bit better, his thigh still bruised and sore, but he tried his best to ignore it. He decided to go to Target to take his mind off of things, carefully choosing to wear sweatpants so the bruises wouldn’t be noticeable. As Jason went to walk out the front door, Max asked him what he was doing, and Jason explained to him that he was going to Target to clear his mind and shop. Max told him to be careful and gave him a side hug. Jason left and drove to Target, grabbing a basket to shop. As he wandered through the aisles, Jason felt a sense of calm wash over him. He was starting to forget about the events of the previous day, and he was determined to keep it that way. But his peace was short-lived, as he suddenly felt a hand snake around his waist and a body press into his left side. Jason stopped walking and jumped, instantly turning to see that it was Sangwoo. "Hey, cutie," Sangwoo said with a smile, his eyes gleaming with a knowing light. "What are you doing here?" Jason tried to process what was happening, his mind racing with fear. "What are you doing?" he asked Sangwoo, trying to keep his voice steady. Sangwoo shrugged, his grip on Jason's waist tightening. "I wanted to shop, and I just so happened to stumble into you, so I thought we could shop together." Jason felt a surge of panic and tried to step away, but Sangwoo's grip only tightened. "I can shop alone, thanks," Jason said, trying to sound firm. But Sangwoo just chuckled and pulled Jason closer. "Oh, no, no, no, my love. We're going to shop together. I like spending time with you." Jason tried to wiggle out of Sangwoo's grasp, but he couldn't. He was trapped, and Sangwoo seemed to be enjoying it. With a sinking feeling, Jason resigned himself to his fate and began to walk around the store with Sangwoo. As they shopped, Jason couldn't help but make one detour into the stuffed animal aisle. He had a bit of a collection growing on his bed, and he couldn't resist searching for a new fluffy companion. Sangwoo watched him intently as he petted the stuffed animals, trying to find the right softness. "Ah, you're looking for someone to cuddle, huh?" Sangwoo whispered in Jason's ear, his breath sending shivers down Jason's spine. Jason ignored him and continued his search, eventually finding a soft dog plushie that he couldn't resist. He grabbed it and held it close, feeling a small sense of comfort. For his final stop, Jason headed to the snack aisle, grabbing the snack he wanted along with a few for Adapt as well. Both Adapt and Jason loved to snack, and he thought it would be nice to do something thoughtful for his friend. As they made their way to the checkout, Jason couldn't shake the feeling that he was trapped, and that Sangwoo was not going to let him go anytime soon.
