Healing Emotions

Part 9

The door to the hospital room swung open, and Yoongi walked in, a gentle smile on his face as he took in the scene before him. Jimin was sitting on the bed, his eyes still red-rimmed from crying, but a small smile on his face as he held hands with Julie. Hobi was sitting on the other side of Julie, his hand on her shoulder, offering silent support. Yoongi's eyes scanned the room, taking in the emotional atmosphere, and then his gaze landed on Jimin. He walked over to the group, his eyes filled with compassion, and put an arm around Jimin's shoulders. Jimin leaned into the touch, feeling a sense of comfort and security wash over him. "Hey, I'm back," Yoongi said, his voice soft and gentle. "I brought some food, but I guess this can wait." Julie smiled, her eyes shining with tears. "I think we've got everything we need right here," she said. Yoongi smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad to see that," he said. "I was worried about you guys." Hobi stood up, stretching his arms over his head. "I think we're all doing okay," he said. "Considering." Yoongi nodded, his arm still around Jimin's shoulders. "I'm glad to hear that," he said. "I've been thinking about what happened, and I keep thinking about how proud I am of you, Jimin. You did everything you could to save Julie, and that's all anyone can ask for." Jimin's eyes welled up with tears again, but this time, they were tears of gratitude. He looked up at Yoongi, his voice barely above a whisper. "Thanks, Yoongi," he said. Yoongi pulled him into a side hug. "Anytime, Jimin," he said. "That's what friends are for." The four of them sat there in silence for a moment, enjoying each other's company and the sense of comfort that came with it. It was a small moment of peace, but it was exactly what they all needed. As they sat there, Julie's eyes drifted closed, exhaustion finally catching up with her. Hobi stood up, gently taking her hand from Jimin's. "I think I'm going to go get some rest," he said. "We can take turns keeping watch." Yoongi nodded, his arm still around Jimin's shoulders. "I'll stay here for now," he said. "You go get some rest, Hobi." Hobi smiled, his eyes tired. "Thanks, Yoongi," he said. "I owe you one." As Hobi walked out of the room, Yoongi turned his attention back to Jimin. "You okay, man?" he asked. Jimin nodded, his eyes still shining with tears. "Yeah," he said. "I think so." Yoongi smiled, his arm still around Jimin's shoulders. "Good," he said. "I'm here for you, Jimin. Always."
