Chapter 7: The Unexpected Journey to London

Part 7

As I sat at the dinner table, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. My mom's revelation about her connection to the Potters and her concern for Harry's well-being had left me feeling worried and curious. I had always thought of Harry as just a pen pal, but now I was starting to realize that he might be in trouble. My mom's abrupt departure from the table and the subsequent explosion of magic had left everyone stunned. When she returned, composed and calm, I couldn't help but wonder what had just happened. The look in her eyes, however, told me that she was not going to let this matter drop. My dad, still trying to wrap his head around the magical world, looked at my mom with a mixture of awe and trepidation. "A teleportation spell, you say? That's quite a trick," he said, shaking his head. My mom smiled, a hint of mischief in her eyes. "It's not just a trick, dear. It's a necessity. We need to get to London as soon as possible to help Harry." Saphira, who had been quietly observing the conversation, suddenly spoke up. "I'm ready to go whenever you are," she said, her voice low and smooth. I looked at her, feeling a surge of excitement. "Me too," I said, pushing my chair back from the table. My mom nodded, a look of satisfaction on her face. "Good. We'll leave first thing in the morning. In the meantime, let's get some rest and pack our bags." As we finished dinner and began to clear the table, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. What would we find in London? What kind of trouble was Harry in? And how were we going to help him? As I went to bed that night, I couldn't shake off the feeling that our lives were about to change in ways we couldn't even imagine. The thought of magic and adventure was exhilarating, but it also came with a sense of uncertainty. The next morning, we gathered in the living room, our bags packed and ready to go. My mom stood in front of us, her eyes closed and her hands held out in front of her. I could feel a strange energy building up around us, like the air was charged with electricity. "Hold hands, everyone," my mom said, her voice low and steady. "We need to connect our magic to make this spell work." I took Saphira's claw in one hand and my dad's hand in the other, feeling a surge of magic flow through me. My mom's eyes snapped open, and she began to chant in a language I didn't understand. The air around us began to shimmer and distort, and I felt myself being pulled apart and put back together again. When the spell was finished, we found ourselves standing in the middle of a bustling street in London. The sounds and smells of the city were overwhelming, and I stumbled backwards, trying to take it all in. My mom smiled, her eyes shining with excitement. "Welcome to London, everyone. Let's go find Harry."
