"A Night to Remember, or Forget"

Part 23

As the newlywed couple, Minako and Ami, shared their first dance as wives, the room was filled with laughter and music. The DJ spun a lively tune, and the guests couldn't help but sway to the beat. The wedding party, including Mario, Luigi, Usagi, Rei, Ash, and Serena, were all having a great time, enjoying the love and happiness that filled the air. Pikachu, sitting next to Ash, looked around with a curious expression, taking in the joyful atmosphere. But just as things were getting into full swing, a commotion arose near the entrance of the reception hall. Jigglypuff, the balloon Pokémon, floated in unnoticed, its eyes scanning the room with a mischievous glint. Pikachu pointed at it, whispering to Ash, who turned to stare at Jigglypuff in shock. Ash's eyes widened in surprise, and he exclaimed, "Jigglypuff! What are you doing here?" as he jumped out of his seat. Jigglypuff, seemingly pleased with itself, began to sing a soft, melodic tune. The room fell silent, with all eyes on the Pokémon. Serena, who had been enjoying the music, suddenly looked worried and begged Jigglypuff, "Please, don't sing! Not now, not here!" But it was too late, Jigglypuff's lullaby had already begun to take effect. The sound of its singing was like a gentle breeze on a summer day, but it had a profound impact on the guests. Serena muttered under her breath, "Not again..." and her eyes began to droop. She tried to fight it, but it was no use. As Jigglypuff continued to sing, its voice grew louder and more hypnotic, and soon, Serena was fast asleep. The rest of the guests didn't stand a chance, and soon, they were all drifting off to dreamland. The room quickly descended into chaos, with guests falling asleep left and right. Rachel and Uriah, holding their baby cousins Mary and Aiden, nodded off, their heads lolling back to back as they sat. Blaze and Sonic, who had been dancing together, fell asleep in each other's arms, their faces serene and happy. Usagi and Rei, who had been watching the scene unfold, also succumbed to Jigglypuff's song, falling asleep in each other's arms. Makoto and Luigi, who had been chatting with Mario, fell asleep, holding hands and leaning on each other. Minako and Ami, still holding hands, looked at each other with a mixture of surprise and amusement before they too drifted off to sleep. The room was filled with the sound of gentle snores and soft murmurs, as the guests succumbed to Jigglypuff's song. Jigglypuff, seemingly annoyed that no one was paying attention to its antics, huffed and puffed but refused to scribble on any faces, remembering that this was a wedding and not a prank-filled gathering. It looked around the room, seemingly pleased with the chaos it had caused, and then nodded off, still floating in the air. As the last notes of Jigglypuff's song faded away, the room remained still, with everyone fast asleep. The music stopped, and an eerie silence fell over the reception hall. The wedding party, still holding hands, smiled at each other as they slept, surrounded by their friends and family. The scene was one of joy and love, frozen in time, as the guests slept peacefully, surrounded by the beauty of the wedding and the magic of Jigglypuff's song. In the midst of the sleeping crowd, Pikachu looked around, concerned about Ash and the others. But Ash just laughed and leaned over to kiss Pikachu, "I guess this is one way to make sure everyone has a good time." Pikachu looked up at Ash, seeming to smile before it too drifted off to sleep. The night had turned into a beautiful, surreal scene, one that would be remembered for a long time.
