"Memories in Uniform"
Part 13
As the night wore on, Maya found herself rummaging through the attic of Chelsea's house, searching for who-knows-what. She had been exploring the nooks and crannies of the old house all evening, and her curiosity had gotten the best of her. While digging through an old trunk, she stumbled upon a cheerleading uniform that seemed to leap out at her. The name "Sadie" was embroidered on the front, and Maya's heart skipped a beat as she realized it must have belonged to Brad's sister. Maya couldn't resist the urge to try it on. She carefully lifted the uniform over her head, feeling a little like she was trespassing on someone else's memories. As she adjusted the fit, she caught a glimpse of herself in an old mirror that was leaning against the wall. The uniform was a little tight, but it brought back a flood of memories of her own high school days as a cheerleader. Just as she was striking a pose, Maya heard the creak of the attic stairs behind her. She turned to see Brad standing in the doorway, a look of surprise on his face. "Maya, what are you doing?" he asked, his voice low and husky. Maya felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized she was still in the cheerleading uniform. She tried to play it cool, but her hands seemed to have a mind of their own. She couldn't help but touch the soft fabric, tracing the outline of the letters on the front of the uniform. Brad's eyes seemed to be locked on hers, but Maya could sense his gaze drifting down to her body. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she raised her hands to adjust the uniform, her fingers brushing against her own curves. The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Brad took a step closer, his eyes never leaving hers. Maya's heart was racing, and she could feel her pulse pounding in her neck. Without thinking, she reached up to smooth out a wrinkle in the uniform, her hand grazing over her own breast. Brad's eyes followed the movement, and Maya felt a surge of electricity run through her body. The moment seemed to stretch out forever, with the only sound being the creaking of the old house and the beating of their own hearts. Maya knew she was taking a risk, but she couldn't help herself. She felt drawn to Brad in a way she couldn't ignore, and the uniform seemed to be a catalyst for her desires. As the silence between them grew thicker, Maya knew she had to break it. She took a deep breath, her voice barely above a whisper. "I found this in the trunk," she said, trying to sound casual. "I thought it was kind of cool." Brad's eyes seemed to bore into hers, and for a moment, Maya thought she saw a glimmer of something there, something that looked almost like desire. But then, his expression smoothed out, and he smiled. "It's definitely a blast from the past," he said, his voice neutral. "Sadie would be surprised to see you in her uniform." Maya felt a pang of disappointment, but she refused to let it get the best of her. She smiled back at Brad, her eyes locked on his. "I guess I just couldn't resist," she said, her voice playful. The tension between them seemed to dissipate, and Brad took another step closer. "I think it suits you," he said, his voice low and husky. Maya's heart skipped a beat as Brad's words hung in the air, leaving her wondering what would happen next.
