Chapter 16: "Engaged!"
Part 16
The days that followed the movie's premiere were a whirlwind of activity. Will and I were still riding the high of our film's success, and we were both enjoying every moment of it. We spent our days doing interviews, attending events, and basking in the glow of our newfound love. But as much as we were enjoying the spotlight, I couldn't shake the feeling that Will was leading up to something. He seemed nervous and excited at the same time, and I could tell that he was hiding something from me. One evening, Will suggested that we have a quiet dinner together at a beautiful Italian restaurant in the city. I agreed, and we made plans to meet there at 7pm. As I got ready for dinner, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. What did Will have planned for us? When I arrived at the restaurant, Will was already there, sitting at a cozy table by the window. He stood up as I approached, and smiled at me. "You look stunning," he said, taking my hand. I blushed, feeling a flutter in my chest. "Thanks," I said, smiling back at him. "You don't look so bad yourself." We ordered our food and spent the first part of the evening chatting and laughing together. But as the dinner wore on, Will became more and more serious. He looked at me with a intense gaze, and I could tell that he was trying to find the right words. "Jess, from the moment I met you on set, I knew that you were someone special," he said, taking my hand in his. "You're talented, beautiful, and kind. You light up my world in ways that I never thought possible." I felt my heart skip a beat as he spoke. I knew that he was leading up to something, but I had no idea what. "Will, I feel the same way about you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. He smiled, and pulled out a small box from his pocket. "I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy," he said, getting down on one knee. "Jess, will you marry me?" Tears of joy filled my eyes as I stared at the beautiful ring in the box. It was a diamond solitaire, with a delicate band and a sparkling stone. I couldn't believe that Will was proposing to me. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" I exclaimed, as Will slid the ring onto my finger. We hugged and kissed, and the restaurant erupted in cheers and applause. Our dinner reservation had been moved to a private room, and our friends and family were waiting for us, beaming with happiness. As we celebrated our engagement, I couldn't help but think about the future. I knew that Will and I were meant to be together, and I couldn't wait to see what the future held for us. "I love you," I said, looking into Will's eyes. "I love you too," he replied, smiling at me. "Forever and always." We sealed our engagement with a kiss, surrounded by the people we loved. It was a night that I would never forget, and I knew that it was just the beginning of our happily ever after.
