Part 227
Mina's expression was a mix of panic and determination as she jumped in to clarify, "But I wasn't talking about that Vesper, I was talking about her," she said, her finger pointing straight at me. Her eyes darted between Osby and me, as if she was bracing for impact. Osby's gaze followed Mina's pointing finger, and his eyes landed on me. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he took in my features, his expression unreadable. Mina continued, her voice low and urgent, "The person that let you come out into this world." The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Osby's eyes snapped back to Mina, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Maybe I'm not sure," he said, his voice laced with hesitation. He paused, his eyes never leaving Mina's face. "Do you mean...you're the one who brought me here?" Mina's face went pale, and she nodded slowly. Osby's gaze drifted back to me, and I could see the wheels turning in his mind. I felt like I was trapped in a spotlight, with all eyes on me. The room seemed to shrink, the walls closing in on us as the weight of Mina's revelation hung in the air. I swallowed hard, trying to find my voice. "Mina, what do you mean?" I asked, my eyes locked on hers. But Mina just shook her head, her eyes darting to Osby. "I think it's time we talked, don't you?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper. The silence that followed was oppressive, heavy with unspoken questions and secrets. Osby's eyes never left mine, and I could see the curiosity burning in them. He leaned forward, his voice low and intense. "I think it's time we got some answers."
