"Gaslighting in the Spirit World"

Part 1

The sun had set over Republic City, casting a warm orange glow over the bustling metropolis. Korra, now in her mid-30s, had just finished a long day of mediating disputes as the Avatar. She decided to unwind with a game of Among Us, a popular multiplayer game that had taken the world by storm. She gathered her closest friends, including Bolin, Asami, and Mako, and even convinced Kuvira, the former Great Uniter, to join in on the fun. As they settled in for a night of gaming, Korra explained the rules: there were 15 players, divided into Crewmates and Impostors. The Crewmates had to complete tasks around the virtual spaceship while figuring out who among them was an Impostor trying to sabotage their efforts. It sounded simple enough, but Korra had a competitive streak and was determined to win. The game started, and Korra immediately took charge. "Alright, let's get organized! We need to divide tasks and keep an eye on each other." Asami nodded, taking notes on her phone. Bolin joked, "I've got my eye on Kuvira; she's always trying to take over." Kuvira shot him a withering look, but Korra intervened, "Hey, let's keep it friendly. We're all in this together." As the game progressed, Korra's competitiveness grew. She began to scrutinize every move her fellow players made, questioning their alibis and motives. "Mako, why did you leave the electrical room? What were you doing?" Mako replied, "I was just trying to fix a wire. You can't trust Kuvira, though; she's always up to something." Korra's eyes narrowed, "I'm watching you, Kuvira." Kuvira smirked, "I'm just trying to blend in, Korra. You're the one who's being paranoid." But Korra was undeterred, convinced that Kuvira was hiding something. The tension in the room grew as accusations flew back and forth. Asami tried to intervene, "Guys, let's not get too carried away. It's just a game." But Korra was too invested, her Avatar instincts kicking in. She started to analyze the game data, looking for patterns and inconsistencies. "I've got it! I've found a discrepancy in the life support systems. Someone's been sabotaging us!" The room fell silent as Korra's friends stared at her, taken aback by her intensity. Kuvira raised an eyebrow, "Korra, calm down. It's just a game." But Korra was beyond reason. She was determined to uncover the truth, no matter what it took. The game continued, with Korra leading the charge, accusing and defending with equal fervor. Her friends tried to keep up, but it was clear that Korra had taken things to a whole new level. As the night wore on, the lines between reality and the game began to blur. How far would Korra go to win?
