"Bound by Fear"
Part 287
As we continued to move, Dabi's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see a spark of malice burning within them. Without warning, he reached out and grabbed me, his arms wrapping around my waist like a vice. I felt a jolt of fear as he pulled me close to his body, my heart racing with anxiety. "If you don't follow, I might just hurt her again," Dabi said, his voice low and menacing. His breath tickled my ear, sending shivers down my spine. Bakugo's eyes widened in anger, and he took a step forward, his fists clenched. But Dabi's grip on me tightened, and he pulled me closer, his eyes flashing with warning. Bakugo's face twisted in a snarl, but he seemed to think better of it, and he stopped in his tracks. Dabi's eyes never left mine, and I could see the intensity burning within them. With Dabi holding me hostage, we continued to move, the sounds of the city fading into the distance. We walked for what felt like hours, the silence between us oppressive. I strained my ears, but the only sound I could hear was the soft crunch of gravel beneath our feet. No cars drove by, no birds chirped, just an eerie silence that seemed to swallow us whole. As the silence stretched on, I felt a sense of hopelessness wash over me. We were alone, with no way to escape, and Dabi's grip on me was like a constant reminder of my vulnerability. Just when I thought all was lost, I heard a familiar voice behind me. "Dabi, let her go," Bakugo said, his voice low and even. Dabi's grip on me didn't waver, but I felt a surge of relief as Bakugo's arms wrapped around us, his hands grasping for Dabi's arms. In a swift motion, Bakugo pulled me out of Dabi's grasp and into his own, his arms holding me close. I felt a wave of relief wash over me as Bakugo's warm body enveloped mine. He held me tight, his chest rising and falling with each breath, and I knew I was safe, at least for the moment. I buried my face in his chest, feeling the soft fabric of his shirt against my skin, and let out a shaky breath. As we stood there, I couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead. Would we be able to escape Dabi's grasp, or would we be trapped forever? The uncertainty was daunting, but with Bakugo's arms around me, I felt a glimmer of hope. For now, I was safe, and that was all that mattered.
