"A Month of Longing"

Part 17

The days turned into weeks, and Bangchan found himself alone in the apartment, Hyunjin having left to visit his friends. The silence was deafening, and Bangchan couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness every time he looked around the empty rooms. He tried to keep himself busy with work and hobbies, but the ache in his chest only seemed to grow with each passing day. As the days went by, Bangchan found himself missing Hyunjin's presence more and more. He would catch himself thinking about the way Hyunjin's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, the way his voice sounded low and husky when he gave commands. Bangchan's face would flush with embarrassment, but he couldn't deny the longing that had taken up residence in his heart. Hyunjin, too, was feeling the distance between them. He missed Bangchan's quiet strength, his determination, and his unwavering loyalty. He would find himself wondering what Bangchan was doing, whether he was thinking of him, and whether he was taking care of himself. As the weeks dragged on, Bangchan began to feel like a part of him was missing. He would lie in bed at night, his mind wandering to Hyunjin, and he would wonder when he would be back. The loneliness was starting to get to him, and Bangchan found himself feeling desperate for Hyunjin's return. One night, as he lay in bed, Bangchan's emotions got the better of him. He reached for his pillow and began to hump it, the sensation a poor substitute for the real thing. He was so caught up in the moment that he didn't even hear the door open. It wasn't until he felt Hyunjin's eyes on him that Bangchan's head snapped up, his face flushing with embarrassment. Hyunjin was standing in the doorway, a look of amusement on his face as he watched Bangchan's frantic movements. Bangchan froze, his hands still wrapped around the pillow. He felt a wave of mortification wash over him, and he wanted to sink into the earth. Hyunjin, however, simply chuckled and walked into the room. "Looks like you've been missing me," Hyunjin said, his voice low and husky. Bangchan's face burned with embarrassment as Hyunjin approached him. For a few minutes, Hyunjin simply watched Bangchan, his eyes gleaming with amusement. Then, without a word, Hyunjin reached out and took the pillow away from Bangchan. Bangchan looked up at him, his eyes pleading, but Hyunjin's expression was firm. "As a punishment, I won't touch you for three days," Hyunjin said, his voice firm. Bangchan's face fell, and he felt a pang of disappointment. He knew he had been caught, and he knew he deserved the punishment. Hyunjin turned and walked out of the room, leaving Bangchan to his thoughts. Bangchan lay back in bed, his mind reeling with the consequences of his actions. He knew he had to be more careful, but a part of him couldn't help but wonder if it was all worth it. As he drifted off to sleep, Bangchan couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for Hyunjin's touch, and he knew that the next three days were going to be a long and torturous wait.
