**Chapter 5: Descent into Darkness**

Part 5

As the world around her dissolved into chaos, Angela felt herself slipping away, her mind recoiling from the horror of what was happening. She tried to push her father away, but he was too heavy, too strong. Michael's voice was still echoing in her mind, his words a toxic mix of arousal and guilt that made her skin crawl. Just as it seemed like everything was going to consume her, a loud crash echoed through the room, followed by the sound of shattering glass. Angela's father's head jerked up, his eyes flashing with anger as he turned to see what had happened. That momentary distraction was all Angela needed. With a surge of adrenaline, she pushed her father off her and scrambled out of bed, her shirt still open and her body trembling. Michael, still standing by the door, looked like he had been frozen in place. His eyes were fixed on his father, a mixture of emotions swirling in their depths. Angela's gaze flicked to him, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Her father, still seated on the bed, looked like he was struggling to process what was happening. His eyes flicked from Angela to Michael, and then back again, as if he was trying to make sense of the chaos that had erupted in his world. The room was silent for what felt like an eternity, the only sound the heavy breathing of the three people in it. Then, without a word, Angela's father stood up and strode out of the room, leaving Angela and Michael alone. Angela felt like she was in a daze. She looked around the room, taking in the destruction that had been wrought. The window was shattered, and the curtains were billowing in the wind. She felt a chill run down her spine as she realized that someone must have broken into the house. Michael's voice broke into her thoughts. "Angela, we need to get out of here," he said, his voice low and urgent. "Now." Angela nodded, still feeling like she was in a trance. She quickly pulled on some clothes and followed Michael out of the room, down the stairs and out of the house. As they emerged into the cool night air, Angela felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was free, at least for now. But as they looked back at the house, Angela couldn't shake the feeling that they were far from safe. The darkness seemed to be closing in around them, and she knew that they had to keep moving if they were going to survive. Without a word, Michael took Angela's hand and started to pull her away from the house. Angela didn't resist, her mind still reeling from the events of the past few hours. As they walked, the darkness seemed to swallow them whole, and Angela couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead.
