Impact of Despair

Part 6

Earth's vibrant blue and green hues glistened in the sunlight as she chatted with Venus, oblivious to the danger that was rapidly approaching. The two celestial bodies laughed and conversed, their carefree exchange a stark contrast to the gravity of the situation. Venus's expression suddenly changed, her serene face contorted in terror as she gazed into the distance. "Earth, move! Oh, please move!" Venus screamed, her voice trembling with urgency. But it was too late. Earth didn't have the time to react, and before she could even comprehend the danger, Nemesis crashed into her surface with unfathomable force. The impact was catastrophic, causing Earth's surface to erupt in a maelstrom of fire and smoke. Her once vibrant colors transformed into a smoky gray and fire-like orange, as if her very essence was being consumed by the flames. The other planets watched in horror as Earth fell unconscious, her radiance extinguished in an instant. The impact sent shockwaves throughout the solar system, leaving the celestial bodies stunned and disbelieving. Sol and Mercury were among the first to notice the impact, their faces frozen in shock. Sol's usual radiant energy seemed dimmed, as if the very light had been drained from its being. Mercury's eyes were wide with astonishment, its small form trembling with fear. Luna's heart shattered into a million pieces as she gazed upon the devastation. Tears stung her eyes, and her gentle glow seemed to falter, as if her own light was being extinguished by the tragedy. She wept uncontrollably, her sorrow echoing through the solar system. Venus and Mars stared with their mouths dropped, their faces pale with shock. The two planets seemed rooted to the spot, unable to move or speak. Saturn, usually a pillar of strength, began to cry, its rings shimmering with tears. Jupiter, trying to comfort its friend, held Saturn in a hug, its own eyes welling up with tears. Uranus and Neptune's hearts dropped, their usually calm demeanor replaced by a sense of despair. The two ice giants seemed to shrink, their forms dwindling in the face of the tragedy. The solar system was plunged into a state of chaos, the planets reeling from the impact. Nemesis, the dark and malevolent force, had struck again, leaving a trail of destruction and despair in its wake. The celestial bodies could only watch in horror as Earth, once a vibrant and thriving planet, lay motionless, her future uncertain.
