"A Night to Remember"
Part 4
As the evening sun began to set, Maya found herself lost in thought, sitting on the bed in her small but cozy room. Megan had left her alone for a few hours, and Maya had spent that time trying to process everything that had happened. She had been kidnapped by Jackson Rathbone, aka Brad, and was now being held captive in some unknown location. But despite the fear and uncertainty, Maya couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to Brad than met the eye. Megan had come back to her room a little while ago and told her that Brad had invited her to dinner. Maya had been nervous but also curious. She had always been a fan of Brad's work, and now that she was face to face with him, she couldn't help but feel a little starstruck. As she heard the sound of footsteps outside her room, Maya's heart began to beat faster. She stood up, smoothing out her clothes, and took a deep breath. The door opened, and Brad stood in the doorway, looking even more handsome than she had remembered. "Hey," he said, smiling. "Dinner is waiting. Are you ready?" Maya nodded, feeling a little shy. She followed Brad out of her room and down a long corridor. They walked in silence, and Maya couldn't help but sneak glances at Brad's profile. He was even more attractive up close, and she found herself feeling drawn to him. As they reached a large dining room, Maya's eyes widened in surprise. The room was beautifully decorated, with a long table set for two. There was a delicious smell of food wafting from the plates, and Maya's stomach growled in anticipation. Brad gestured for her to take a seat, and Maya sat down, feeling a little awkward. Brad sat down across from her, and they began to eat in silence. The food was amazing, and Maya found herself enjoying the quiet moment with Brad. As they ate, Maya couldn't help but steal glances at Brad. She noticed the way he smiled to himself when he thought she wasn't looking, the way his eyes crinkled at the corners. She felt a flutter in her chest, and suddenly, she was aware of just how attractive he was. As dinner came to an end, Brad pushed his plate away and leaned back in his chair. "So, how's your day been?" he asked, looking at her with interest. Maya shrugged, feeling a little shy. "It's been okay, I guess. I was a little scared at first, but Megan has been really nice." Brad nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. "I'm glad to hear that. Megan is a great person. She's been a big help to me." Maya felt a spark of curiosity, but before she could ask any questions, Brad stood up and offered her his hand. "Let's take a walk," he said, smiling. "The evening is beautiful, and I think you could use some fresh air." Maya took his hand, feeling a jolt of electricity as their palms touched. As they walked out of the dining room and into the night air, Maya felt herself relaxing in Brad's presence. She couldn't believe how much she was enjoying his company, and she couldn't help but feel a little attracted to him. As they walked, Brad told her stories about his life, about his career and his passions. Maya listened, entranced, feeling like she was getting to know him on a deeper level. She found herself laughing and smiling, feeling more and more at ease in his presence. And as they stood there, under the stars, Maya felt herself wanting him. She couldn't believe it, but she couldn't deny the attraction she felt. She looked up at Brad, her heart pounding in her chest, and wondered what would happen next.
