**Unraveling Deceit**

Part 10

Rakai and Dabo decided to stay over at the shared dorm of Ray and Tota that night, hoping that Ray would return and explain his mysterious absence. However, as the hours ticked by, Ray failed to show up, leaving Rakai and Dabo with growing concerns. They tried calling and messaging him, but he didn't respond. The next morning, Rakai and Dabo confronted Ray in the school hallway, their faces etched with worry. "Where were you last night?" Rakai asked, his voice firm but laced with concern. Ray shrugged nonchalantly. "I slept over at another student's dorm." Dabo's eyes narrowed. "Which student's dorm?" Ray hesitated for a moment before responding, "It was... um... Alex's dorm." Rakai's eyes locked onto Ray's, searching for any sign of deception. "And why did Kai have your phone?" he asked, his voice low and even. Ray's eyes darted around, and he opened his mouth to respond, but just as he was about to speak, the bell rang, signaling the start of class. "Saved by the bell," he muttered, flashing a relieved smile. Agent, their professor, stood at the front of the classroom, writing on the blackboard as he began the lesson. As he taught, he couldn't help but glance at Ray, who seemed nervous and on edge. Every so often, Agent's gaze would flicker to the door, expecting someone to walk in. Just as he was about to launch into a complex explanation, Kai walked into the classroom, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Ray. Agent's eyes followed Kai's gaze, and he raised a brow. "And who might you be?" he asked, his tone neutral. Kai smiled blandly. "Just here to observe, Professor. Don't mind me." Agent's expression remained skeptical. "Observe? Specifically, I assume? I am still a bit perplexed about what transpired on the balcony the other day. You seemed to... grab a student's waist rather abruptly." Kai chuckled. "Just making sure everyone's safety, Professor. Don't worry about it." Agent's eyes lingered on Kai, and then his gaze shifted to Ray, who was studiously avoiding eye contact. As the class progressed, Agent found himself glancing at Kai, then Ray, and back again. He sensed that something was off, something that had to do with the principal's sudden interest in their classroom. When the bell rang, signaling the end of class, Kai and Ray quickly exited the room, almost as if they were trying to avoid conversation. Rakai, Dabo, and Agent watched them go, exchanging curious glances. "What's going on?" Dabo whispered to Rakai as they followed the crowd to the cafeteria. Rakai's eyes remained fixed on the departing figures of Kai and Ray. "I don't know, but I think we're about to find out."
