Tangled Webs of Concern
Part 7
Rage and Adapt's eyes scanned the crowded amusement park, their faces etched with worry as they frantically searched for Jason. They had assumed he would be waiting for them at the slide launch exit, but as the minutes ticked by, he was nowhere to be found. Panic began to set in as they hastily made their way through the throngs of people, their eyes darting back and forth. "Where could he be?" Adapt asked, his voice laced with anxiety. Rage shook his head, his eyes scanning the area. "I don't know, but we need to find him." As they turned a corner, they spotted Jason sitting at a table with Sangwoo. Jason was eating a hot dog, his expression neutral, while Sangwoo watched him with an intense gaze. Rage and Adapt's eyes widened as they noticed Sangwoo's hand resting on Jason's thigh, his fingers wrapping around his leg. Without hesitation, Rage and Adapt rushed over to the table, their faces stern. "Jason, come on, let's go," Rage said, reaching out to grab his arm. But Sangwoo swatted their hands away, his smile never wavering. "Let him finish his food, guys. He's almost done." Adapt's eyes narrowed as he noticed Sangwoo's jaw clenched tightly, his hand on Jason's thigh gripping harder. It looked like it was already bruising. Jason's eyes flicked between them, his expression a mixture of discomfort and resignation. As Jason tried to stand, he let out a yelping noise, his eyes widening in pain. Sangwoo's grip on his thigh had been tighter than he realized, and it seemed he had been holding on for far too long. Sangwoo's face contorted in alarm as he loosened his grip, his eyes darting to Jason's face. "I'm sorry, Jason," Sangwoo said, his voice tinged with concern. Jason's eyes welled up with tears as he politely announced to Sangwoo that he would be leaving. Sangwoo nodded, his face still etched with concern, and let them lead Jason away. As they walked, Rage and Adapt exchanged worried glances. Something was seriously wrong with Sangwoo's behavior, and they needed to get Jason to safety. They quickened their pace, their eyes scanning the area for any sign of the others. "Let's get you to the lockers and wait for the others," Adapt said, his voice soft with concern. Jason nodded, his eyes still shining with tears. He knew he had to get away from Sangwoo, and he was grateful for his friends' intervention. But as they walked, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was trapped in a tangled web of Sangwoo's making, and he didn't know how to escape.
