"A Magical Family's New Journey"
Part 6
After that, we had dinner that Mom made while Saphira happily ate her meal, though my mother was concerned about Hogwarts not allowing dangerous magical creatures to school. Most familiars are owls, mice, cats, and lizards. But not dragons, basilisk, hydra, thunderbirds, and etc powerful & dangerous magical creatures. While my dad Josh groaned, saying “of course those creatures have to be real.. after if Saphira a dragon is real, why not the rest of every other magical creatures be real.. (sigh).. so how are we going to handle this? We can’t exactly sneak her in the school, then there’s a problem about her size when she grows up if the story books I read about dragons being true as well. We’re gonna need a whole barn to house her.” At hearing my mother‘s and father Josh’s concerns, Saphira gained a look of annoyance for a moment before her body began to shimmer. Her wings began to press into her body and disappear, along with her beautiful vibrant, blue scales, turning to dark green, black and yellow scaling as our body shifts until it she looks like a normal monitor lizard. At seeing her do I look at her with surprise and wonder, amazed by her ability to shape shift along with my parents. Sara looked shocked, surprised and amazed. All my dad could do was sigh exasperatedly while saying “I never gonna get used to this, am I?” My mother smiled kindly to him, gently reaching over and taking hold of his hand in hers, and gave a comforting squeeze while smiling cheerfully saying “nope, I’ve been around magic for nearly all my life and it still doesn’t stop surprising me. Also now you know how I feel when you go out on your adventures and something crazy or dangerous happens, but I still love you nonetheless. Plus, who do you think magically transport all your gear and clothing when you forgot at the airport, hmm?” At her words, my dad looked at my mom in surprise and said “that was you? I was wondering why it almost magically appeared in my room. I guess it must’ve literally did, huh, neat.” My mother smiled, pleased by her actions that day and proud as well. I just smiled at them while eating my meal along with Saphira, as we listened in on our conversation. My mom talked about her past growing up learning about magic in Hogwarts. I’m making her friends that was the name of her Bestie that drew my attention. Lily Potter, wife of James Potter, nervously I asked “mom.. did Lily have a son named Harry Potter?” I questioned worriedly, looking equally nervous as I met a young boy in the local zoo going by that name who accidentally let out the python in the exhibit. I also remembered his guardian giving him a cold, uncaring look, worried that my pen-pal was in some kind of trouble. As I never really got any messages back from him on my travels, I originally thought they didn’t see me as a friend and just ignored them. But now I was beginning to suspect that something bad was happening to my friend Harry, as his guardians didn’t look like the way my mom described Lily or James Potter. Surprisingly, my mother answered yes, wondering how did I know she had a son. I explained the incident at the zoo, and my mom cursed under her breath, surprising both me and my dad. She excused herself from the table, walking into the other room. Before we hear explosions, as well as a blast of magic, and her cussing loudly, clearly in rage and cursing at someone named Dumbledore, lying to her, sending young Harry Potter to his aunt and uncle who despise magic and wizards and witches. Harry probably is like his parents, before she comes back into the room, straight out her dress and her hair, looking prim and proper again. She sits at the table and simply says in an authoritative tone “pack your back boys, we’re leaving back to London in the morning.” Surprised by my mother‘s words, my dad said “honey, we won’t be able to get there until 3 days from now due to changing scheduling along with flight and travel plans.” My mother still having her stern expression, says in a nonchalant tone “that won’t be necessary, dear. I have a magical spell that can teleport us back to London first thing in the morning. The best part is, it’s completely free to travel for now. We need to eat and rest and pack up, that way we can be ready to help young Harry.” My dad looked at her in amazement before muttering to himself “reeeally wish I knew about magic earlier, was saved a lot on travel cost.” My mother just smiled and giggles while I chuckle and snicker with Saphira.
