Chapter 69: Unspoken Understanding
Part 68
I took a deep breath, trying to process the events that had just transpired. As I headed to the bathroom to brush my teeth, I couldn't help but think about Osby's sudden declaration of sleeping in my room. My mind was still reeling from the tension that had built up between us. As I stood in front of the sink, toothbrush in hand, I couldn't help but think about Osby's striking features. His chiseled jawline, his piercing eyes, and his messy black hair all seemed to blend together in a familiar yet captivating way. I thought to myself, "Ok sure, he looks exactly like Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling and looks hot, but I'll be calm… hopefully." Just as I was about to rinse my mouth, I heard Osby's voice behind me. "I can hear you," he said, his tone low and amused. "And thanks for the compliment." My eyes widened in surprise, and I felt my face flush with embarrassment. "Fuck my life," I muttered to myself, feeling like I'd been caught red-handed. Osby chuckled, the sound low and soothing. I turned to face him, trying to play it cool despite my flustered state. I cleared my throat, trying to composed myself. "Uh, ok. I'll sleep on the floor, and you can take the bed," I said, trying to sound casual. But Osby shook his head, a small smile still playing on his lips. "No, it's fine. I'll sleep on the floor," he said, his voice firm. I raised an eyebrow, surprised by his insistence. "Are you sure?" I asked, trying to gauge his intentions. Osby nodded, his expression serious. I felt a flutter in my chest, unsure of how to react. We spent the next few minutes getting ready for bed in silence, the only sound the rustling of sheets and the creaking of the bed. As we settled in for the night, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Osby was sleeping on the floor, just a few feet away from me, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that this was just the beginning of something new. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for us, and what this unspoken understanding between us would lead to.
