**Chapter 3: The Blind Leap of Faith**
Part 3
As they stood at the entrance of the obstacle course, Sang-woo felt a sense of trepidation wash over him. The emcee's words still lingered in his mind, and the sight of the course's twisted layout only added to his anxiety. The air was thick with the smell of damp earth and rusted metal, and the sound of creaking wooden beams echoed through the air, making it seem like the very structure itself was warning them to turn back. Sae-byeok, on the other hand, seemed to be relishing the challenge. Her eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint as she looked at Sang-woo, and he could sense her confidence radiating from her very pores. She was a wild card, and Sang-woo wasn't sure if he could trust her completely. But for now, they had to work together if they wanted to survive. The emcee handed Sae-byeok a blindfold, and she wrapped it around her eyes with a smooth motion. Sang-woo watched as she stood still for a moment, her body tense and alert. He knew that she was mentally preparing herself for the challenge ahead. "Ready?" the emcee asked, his voice dripping with sadistic pleasure. Sae-byeok nodded, her head cocked to one side. Sang-woo took a deep breath and stepped forward, his eyes scanning the course for any hidden dangers. The first obstacle was a narrow beam suspended high above a pit of jagged glass. He knew that one wrong move could send Sae-byeok tumbling to her death. "Okay, step forward," he said, his voice calm and steady. "Take a step to the right, and then up onto the beam." Sae-byeok's response was immediate. She took a step forward, her foot thudding onto the wooden platform. Sang-woo held his breath as she took another step, her foot wobbling precariously on the edge of the beam. "Steady," he whispered, his voice guiding her. "Keep your balance, and take a step forward." Sae-byeok's movements were slow and deliberate, but Sang-woo could sense her trust in him growing with each step. He knew that he had to be careful, that one misstep could mean disaster. As they navigated the course, Sang-woo began to realize that this game was not just about physical obstacles, but also about trust and deception. Could he really trust Sae-byeok, or was she just playing him to get ahead? The course twisted and turned, with hazards lurking around every corner. Sang-woo's heart was racing with tension as he guided Sae-byeok through the challenges, his voice growing hoarse from shouting instructions. As they approached the final obstacle, a massive spinning wheel with razor-sharp blades, Sang-woo's mind was racing with doubts. Should he try to sabotage Sae-byeok, or should he help her through? He looked at Sae-byeok, her blindfolded face set in a determined expression. For a moment, he hesitated. And in that moment of hesitation, he made a decision. He would help her through, no matter what. "Okay, get ready to jump," he said, his voice firm. "I'll guide you through." Sae-byeok nodded, her body tensed and ready. Sang-woo watched as she launched herself into the air, her body arcing through the space between them. Time seemed to slow down as she flew towards the wheel, her blindfolded face twisted in a snarl of concentration. Sang-woo held his breath, his heart pounding in his chest. Would they make it out alive, or would the game claim another victim? The outcome was far from certain, but one thing was clear: Sang-woo had just made a blind leap of faith, trusting Sae-byeok with his life.
