"A New Player Enters the Scene"
Part 14
The scene hung in the balance, Shigaraki's words still echoing through the air as he leaned in, his eyes burning with an unsettling intensity. But before he could continue, a new figure emerged from the shadows, his presence commanding attention. Dabi, one of Tomura Shigaraki's trusted lieutenants, walked into the alleyway, a sly smile spreading across his face. His eyes scanned the scene, taking in Shigaraki's proximity to Bakugo and me, and his gaze lingered on the frozen Nomu's. "Oh, you had fun with them without me?" Dabi said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Wow, that hurts, Shigaraki." Shigaraki turned to face Dabi, a hint of annoyance flickering across his features. "What can I not have fun with them?" he asked, his tone nonchalant, but his eyes flashing with a warning. Dabi chuckled, his smile growing wider. "Fun? Really? You call this fun?" He gestured to the frozen Nomu's, their twisted bodies sagging in place. "I call this... tedious." Shigaraki's expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he took a step closer to Dabi. "You think you can do better, Dabi?" he asked, his voice low and menacing. Dabi shrugged, his smile never wavering. "I'm not saying I can do better, I'm just saying I would have done it differently. With more... panache." Bakugo and I exchanged a wary glance, unsure of what to make of this new development. Dabi's arrival had added a new dynamic to the scene, one that we couldn't quite read. Shigaraki's gaze lingered on Dabi, his expression unreadable. For a moment, it seemed as though he would lash out, but then his features relaxed, a cold smile spreading across his face. "Very well, Dabi," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You can join in on the fun. Let's see what you have to offer." Dabi's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Oh, I have a few tricks up my sleeve," he said, his voice low and menacing. As he spoke, the Nomu's began to stir, their twisted bodies twitching as if responding to some unseen command. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized that we were in for a whole lot more trouble than we had initially anticipated. Bakugo's hand instinctively went to my shoulder, his eyes flashing with a fierce protectiveness. I knew that we were in this together, and that we would have to come up with a plan to take down Shigaraki, Dabi, and their twisted creations.
