The Night of the Fang

Part 1

Samantha stepped out of the car and onto the cracked asphalt of the driveway, gazing up at the dimly lit facade of her new home. The house loomed above her, its windows like empty eyes staring back. She shivered, despite the warmth of the summer evening. Her mother, Karen, squeezed her hand reassuringly. "It's going to be okay, sweetie," Karen said, smiling. "We'll make a new life here, just the two of us. Leave the past behind." Samantha nodded, trying to muster some enthusiasm. They'd moved to this godforsaken town in the middle of nowhere after her father's... incident. The memories still lingered, like an open wound. She didn't know what to expect from this new place, but she hoped it would be a fresh start. As they entered the house, Samantha couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. She glanced out the window, into the darkness beyond the porch light. The streets seemed deserted, but she sensed a presence lurking just out of sight. That night, as she lay in bed, Samantha heard the distant hum of music and laughter. It was a low, throbbing beat, like a pulse calling to her. She tossed off her covers and padded to the window, pushing aside the curtains to gaze out into the night. A group of young people, laughing and chatting, spilled out of a sleek black van parked on the street. They were dressed in black, their hair styled in a way that seemed to defy gravity. Samantha's eyes widened as she took in their appearance – they looked like nothing she'd ever seen before. Among them, one figure stood out. Tall, with piercing eyes and chiseled features, he seemed to radiate an aura of quiet power. His gaze met Samantha's, and for an instant, they locked eyes. She felt a jolt of electricity run through her veins. "Who is that?" Samantha whispered to herself, her heart pounding in her chest. As she watched, the group disappeared into the night, leaving behind only the faint scent of smoke and the echo of their laughter. Samantha's gaze lingered on the spot where they'd vanished, a sense of curiosity and unease growing inside her. Little did she know, her life was about to take a dramatic turn. The mysterious stranger with piercing eyes would soon become the center of her universe, drawing her into a world of darkness and desire. In the shadows, a figure watched Samantha, his eyes gleaming with interest. David, the enigmatic leader of the group, smiled to himself as he vanished into the night, his thoughts already turning to the captivating young woman he'd just met. The night of the fang had begun, and Samantha was about to take her first step into a world of eternal darkness.
