Chapter 41: Choosing the Perfect Name
Part 40
Chapter 41: Choosing the Perfect Name Ashley and Avan walked hand in hand, still basking in the excitement of their news. As they strolled through the park, Ashley turned to Avan with a thoughtful expression. "You know, I've been thinking...now that we know we're having a boy, we should start thinking about names." Avan nodded in agreement. "I've been thinking about that too. What are some of your ideas?" Ashley smiled, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Well, I've always liked the name Ethan. It's classic and timeless, and I think it would suit our little boy perfectly." Avan nodded thoughtfully. "I like that too. But I've also been thinking about other options...like Lucas or Mason. What do you think?" Ashley considered his suggestions. "Lucas is a great name, but I've always associated it with someone from my high school. As for Mason...I like it, but it's a bit trendy, isn't it?" Avan chuckled. "Maybe a bit, but I think it's a great name. And it's definitely gaining popularity." Ashley laughed. "Okay, okay. I think we have a few good options to choose from. But I have one condition...if we choose a name, we have to agree on it. No arguing or compromising." Avan grinned. "Deal. I think we can manage that." As they continued their walk, Ashley pulled out her phone and started scrolling through baby name websites. "Let's make a list of our favorite names and see what we come up with." Avan nodded, pulling out his own phone to start researching. Together, they spent the next hour browsing through names, discussing their meanings and associations. As the sun began to set, Ashley and Avan sat down on a bench, surrounded by papers and phones. They looked at each other, both of them beaming with excitement. "I think I have a feeling we're going to find the perfect name," Ashley said, her eyes shining with anticipation. Avan nodded, putting his arm around her. "I think you're right. And when we do, we'll know it's meant to be." They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, enjoying the peacefulness of the park. Finally, Avan spoke up. "You know, I think we should make it a bit more interesting. Let's make a bet...if we can agree on a name within the next week, we'll celebrate with a special dinner." Ashley grinned mischievously. "And if we can't agree...?" Avan raised an eyebrow. "Then we'll have to do something I don't like...like going to a sporting event." Ashley laughed. "Deal. But I'm warning you, I'm not going to budge on this. I have a feeling Ethan is going to be the one." Avan smiled, shaking his head. "We'll see about that."
