Chapter 16: A Room Full of Knowledge

Part 15

As we left Koda's room, I couldn't help but feel rejuvenated after the adorable bunny therapy session. The group and I chatted and laughed as we made our way to Ida's room, eager to see what his space would be like. When we arrived, I was not surprised to see that Ida's room was a bibliophile's paradise. Books stacked from floor to ceiling, with barely a inch of free space between them. "As expected of the class rep," I said, shaking my head in awe. Ochaco giggled as she took in the sight of Ida's desk, which was cluttered with an impressive collection of glasses. "Why do you have so many?" she asked, trying to stifle her laughter. Ida looked up from the book he was reading, a defensive glint in his eye. "I expect them to be broken while training!" he said loudly, his face straight. The group burst out laughing at this, and even Ida couldn't help but crack a smile. "It's for, uh, scientific research purposes," he added, trying to salvage what was left of his dignity. I chuckled and shook my head. "You're such a weirdo, Ida." As we entered the room, I noticed that the books were all neatly organized by subject, with labels and everything. "Wow, Ida, you're so organized," I said, impressed. Ida puffed out his chest proudly. "Of course I am. I'm the class representative, after all. I have to set a good example." Shoji snorted. "Yeah, and also because you're a total bookworm." Ida shot him a look, but I could see the amusement in his eyes. "Hey, being a bookworm is not a bad thing," he said, smiling. As we spent the next hour browsing through Ida's books and teasing him about his glasses collection, I realized that each of our rooms had revealed a little bit about our personalities. Tokoyami's room had shown his intensity, Koda's room had shown his playful side, and Ida's room had shown his love of learning. I grinned to myself, feeling grateful for this little group of misfits who had become my friends. We might be different, but we fit together in our own weird way.
