"A Night of Uncertainty"
Part 9
As they left the King's chambers, Kenzy and Levi couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over them. The conversation with the King had been a success, and they had managed to secure his approval for their relationship. But now, as they walked through the quiet corridors of the castle, Kenzy couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. "I'm glad we got that over with," she said, turning to Levi with a smile. "I don't know what I would have done if he had said no." Levi chuckled and pulled her close. "I knew you'd handle it like a pro," he said, his voice filled with amusement. "You're one of the most brave and determined people I've ever met." Kenzy blushed, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. She was grateful to have Levi by her side, to share in her joys and sorrows. As they approached Kenzy's house, she could feel a sense of excitement building up inside her. She had invited Levi to stay the night, and she was eager to spend some quality time with him. When they arrived at her house, she led him to the living room and sat down on the couch, pulling him down beside her. "So, what do you think we should do tonight?" she asked, trying to sound casual. Levi shrugged, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Kenzy grinned mischievously. "I was thinking we could order some food and watch a movie. Or play some games." Levi raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like a plan to me." They spent the rest of the evening lounging on the couch, watching a movie and laughing together. As the night wore on, Kenzy found herself feeling more and more relaxed in Levi's presence. She loved the way he made her feel, like she was home. As the credits rolled on the movie, Kenzy stood up and stretched. "I'm going to make some popcorn," she said, heading towards the kitchen. Levi followed her, his eyes fixed on her as she moved. Kenzy felt a flutter in her chest as she realized he was watching her. She smiled to herself, feeling happy and content. As they sat down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, Kenzy leaned over and whispered, "I'm glad we're doing this, Levi." He looked at her, his eyes filled with warmth and affection. "Me too, Kenzy," he whispered back. "I'm glad we're in this together." The night wore on, and Kenzy found herself drifting off to sleep, Levi's arm wrapped around her. She woke up to find him watching her, his eyes filled with love and adoration. "Levi?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. "Yeah?" he replied, his voice low and husky. "Can I ask you something?" she said, her voice trembling. "Anything," he replied, his eyes locked on hers. "Do you think... do you think we'll be able to make it work?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Levi's expression softened, and he pulled her into his arms. "I know we will," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "We're in this together, Kenzy. Always." As the night drew to a close, Kenzy knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be - with Levi, by her side. She felt a sense of peace wash over her, and she knew that as long as they had each other, they could face anything that came their way.
