**Chapter 5: A Moment of Weakness**

Part 5

The music and laughter from the party still echoed in their ears as Lucas and Enzo stumbled into the garden, the cool night air a welcome respite from the crowded rooms. Lucas leaned against a pillar, his eyes fixed on Enzo as he swayed slightly. "I'm glad you're here," Lucas slurred, his voice low and husky. Enzo looked at him, his eyes searching. "Why?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Lucas's grin faltered, and for a moment, he looked vulnerable. "Because you're the only one who doesn't fear me," he said, his voice cracking. Enzo's eyes softened, and he took a step closer to Lucas. "I'm not afraid of you," he said, his voice firm. Lucas laughed, the sound rough and unpolished. "You should be," he said, his eyes glinting with mischief. "I'm not exactly known for my kindness." Enzo shrugged, his eyes locked onto Lucas's. "I've seen worse," he said, his voice dry. Lucas's gaze held Enzo's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. The tension between them was palpable, and Lucas could feel his heart pounding in his chest. As they stood there, Lucas felt a sense of freedom wash over him. He was drunk, and for once, he didn't have to worry about maintaining his image. He could be himself, without fear of judgment. "Enzo?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yeah?" Enzo replied, his eyes still locked onto Lucas's. Lucas took a step closer, his movements unsteady. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice cracking. Enzo's eyes widened in surprise. "For what?" he asked, his voice soft. Lucas shrugged, his eyes dropping to the ground. "For everything," he said, his voice barely audible. Enzo's expression softened, and he took a step closer to Lucas. "You don't have to be sorry," he said, his voice gentle. As they stood there, Lucas felt a weight lift off his shoulders. For once, he didn't have to be the tough guy. He could be vulnerable, and Enzo wouldn't judge him. The moment hung in the air, like a promise of something more. Lucas's eyes locked onto Enzo's, and he felt a spark of attraction that he couldn't ignore. Without thinking, he reached out and pulled Enzo close. Enzo didn't resist, and as their bodies touched, Lucas felt a jolt of electricity run through his veins. Their lips met in a soft, gentle kiss. Lucas felt like he was melting into Enzo's arms, like he'd found a sense of home. As they pulled away, Lucas's eyes searched Enzo's, and he saw something there that gave him hope. Maybe, just maybe, Enzo felt the same way. The night was young, and anything could happen. But for now, Lucas just wanted to savor the moment, to enjoy the feeling of being close to Enzo. He leaned in again, his lips brushing against Enzo's. This time, the kiss was deeper, more passionate. Lucas felt like he was drowning in Enzo's eyes, like he was lost in a sea of emotions. As they broke apart for air, Lucas's eyes locked onto Enzo's, and he knew that nothing would ever be the same again.
